@Shog9 was a global URL blacklist request on Meta.SE for URL links from a specific domain (LMDDGTFY) on the same basis as LMGTFY - the 'community' closed it, and I put a Contact Us request in for staff to evaluate it independently of the community

since it's in the contact us queue I'm sure it'll eventually be looked at.

Hello everyone, I once thought about writing a network-wide-suspension faq and Sonic said that this is no good idea. Today I found this post. It seems quite good at explaining the different questions. Any suggestions/ideas about turning it into a faq?

It's not sarcastic. But some users actually do try evading bans, and having a FAQ on it would at least cover the "why"-part and could make at least some users understand why. In theory anyways ^^"

The point is, a lot of users don't care about reading docs. But if it's available, there's no reason for them to say "But I didn't know", especially if it's linked somehow. You can show someone anything, but whether they actually read it and get something from it isn't something we can decide either

No matter what you do, some users do not read stuff

But when you have it documented, they also can't use the "how was I supposed to know?"-card

well, it can be used less if the links are used properly

That's why I started leaving comments when running cleanup on android-studio, because people don't read the edit summaries...

Generally, if it's not absolutely necessary to read and the person is in a hurry, nothing really matters aside the actual question

@MEEisJohannGambolputty... I don't think that that's broad enough for an FAQ. The first two are already covered in the link you cited, and the third can be easily searched for on its own. My opinion is to edit in a section into the standard suspension FAQ. (Anyone else have a different opinion?)
