Also, somehow I'm sometimes able to keep Flash in fullscreen even though I'm focused elsewhere. I think this might be...unintentional, but I'll keep it.
@TimStone Hmm...I have to give that a try. Though, you never know, it could be totally different on Linux. I can only fullscreen flash on my primary monitor.
@waffles One thing I never got round to answering on Jeff's question, but which I think would be really used (if not useful), is a 'where am I?' button...
The link would take you to which ever page you're on.
I know it's just a vanity link, but I also know everyone will use it (except those who are on the first page anyway).

The Hungarian alphabet is an extension of the Latin alphabet used for writing the Hungarian language.
One sometimes speaks of the smaller and greater Hungarian alphabet, depending on whether the letters Q, W, X, Y which can only be found in foreign words and traditional orthography of names are listed, or not.
The 44 letters of the (greater) Hungarian alphabet are:

In computing, the term munge means to attempt to create a strong, secure password through character substitution. "Munge" is sometimes backronymmed as Modify Until Not Guessed Easily. The usage differs significantly from Mung (Mash Until No Good), because munging implies destruction of data, while mungeing implies creation of strong protection for data.
The case for mungeing
Passwords are used to gain access to computer resources, and computer users generally choose passwords that are easy to remember, but therefore insecure. Simple passwords are easily hacked by dictionary attacking sof...
That is, unless someone knows a more correct term for it...obfuscation?
It was decided that the number of Stack Exchange 1.0 sites has dwindled far enough now that we can shut down the old meta.stackexchange.com and redirect to here, meta.stackoverflow.com.
It is more correct for the network meta to be called "Meta Stack Exchange" anyway, but we aren't quite there y...
I just found this update in Windows Update after the last failure... support.microsoft.com/kb/947821 why didn't they get this out before I tried to install SP1 seven times in a row!?
I'm looking for a free way to create a large batch of tif files (10-20k) into PDF files, ideally with OCR too.
It needs to be callable from the command line in windows.
Update
Needs to be free for commercial use.
In fact, I like JavaScript disabled on some sites. Like the Business Insider. No need to flip through a stupid "slideshow," since all the slides are displayed on one page w/ JS disabled. :)
I tend to only use it for a few select websites anyway, so it's no big deal. But, this is part of the reason I do so.
Hey all-
I'm using my iPad to look at StackOverflow and everything is grayscale, even things like badges. Is this a bug on my iPad (this has never happened before now) or did the CSS just get updated? If it's the latter, it looks very odd on the iPad and is really jarring.
Did the CSS for gra...
@badpssockpuppet It's pointless; the style isn't meant for mobile - it's lightweight, yes, but fundamentally it's not a mobile style because it's not designed for small screens
notify_new_version({"raw_version": 6, "description": "Released version <b>1.3</b>, now with auto-update notifications! <a href="whatever">Go get it!</a>"})
It's mainly an elaborated plot to let me inject rickrolls on your chat windows on April 1st. :P

(also I haven't done this. yet)
At any rate, @Moshe, your style works well on the moderator pages; well, the copy that is live on production does.
Maybe you could change .flagcount to a background-color of dark gray
also I don't have any live flags or suggested edits so I can't tell you about their styling
@GeorgeMarian Well, I assume you we're talking to me when you said wrong George, but I'm fairly sure I didn't get the wrong George, because I was replying to you replying to me
@badpssockpuppet Indeed, I was starting to develop paranoid theories about two users both named George with the same gravatar pulling practical jokes here
Until a few days ago, the calculation was:
default 10 per day
one bonus flag per 1000 reputation
maximum 100
But we have now tweaked this to consider previous flagging history: flags by people who flag well are OK
so:
default 10 per day
one bonus flag per 2000 reputation (capped at 100k re...

2011-03-01: When browsing with a mobile device, you get a rudimentary, "slimmed down, minimalistic" CSS theme. This overrides per-site themes.
2011-02-25: The log out link can now be found by going to your user page.

I'm trying to put together a comprehensive regex to validate phone numbers. Ideally it would handle international formats, but it must handle US formats, including the following:
1-234-567-8901
1-234-567-8901 x1234
1-234-567-8901 ext1234
1 (234) 567-8901

@badpssockpuppet Far more likely because of the fact that since there's no network wide sprite map it's more efficient to load three images from the same domain than adding it to thirty over sprite maps, though there's still the question of why not make these three a map too
Project Managers/Technical Leads sometimes tend to be over enthusiastic when it comes to software.
But during code reviews if instead of functionality of the code the only complain one hears is about formatting/spacing and similar trivial things, when there are far better things to discuss (Amon...
I quite like the idea of the new user page, but the design is horrible. It looks incredibly messy. Understandably it's hard to get dynamic content perfect in every scenario, but the page just looks like it can be improved.
I think that no text should ever be under the profile image as that's a m...
<rant> Why when people log onto Facebook they suddenly find it necessary to SHOUT IN ALLLL CAPS!!1ONE!, use ub3r l33t txtspkr, or mke rediculus speling mistkes? People don't speak like that in real life, or when socializing in any other medium, that's for sure. </rant>
