@TimPost Do all those page loads come with some ad revenue or something? Then you have your answer :P They can't afford the poster if you don't click on those pages ;)
Right... bleh. Did another round of 'these are people we should talk to' on the matchmaking site. Filtered out folks from my "clan". Can't find the list of matching stars on my phone so need to get my parentals (who should be doing this anyway) to doublecheck and start calling
@JourneymanGeek Famous quote: "Every parent should go on a pedagogic training course when having kids. It's so good, you learn stuff like 'never threaten to kick your kid out'"
IF there ever accidentally comes a stork along that drops me a baby, I at least want to stay home and take care of it anyways. My mom did that for all three of her kids, and it's something I really appreciate.
@Magisch Ehhh. This one has had a lot of drama at home already, to the point where he crashed at our house in the afternoons just to have the peace and quiet to do some homework. He's not a perfect kid, but his parents are a mess too... so I'm blaming 50/50 :P
Might just be me... I had a colleague with anorexia, and I'm reading this in her voice when she told me she was proud she only ate this much, and not at all... and knowing that you kinda micromanage your intake anyways ... I don't like how that sounds.
I've honestly never been exposed to people thinking that not eating a couple days is unhealthy. I guess it never came up
Always thought that water is 2-3 days before it becomes an issue, vitamins / minerals is 10-14 days and actual food is some 60 days depending on reserves
A heavy chunk of your water comes from food, so if you're not eating and not drinking you have a day or less before you're ineffective and probably going to die.
Right now I can only drink bottled mineral water and life is heaven
Bottom line, I or anyone else without a special condition could go without food for 2 or 3 days twice in one week, but 1) Why should I, and 2) I'd just overeat and compensate the next week
Hey @Art, go without food for 2 days. FOR SCIENCE of course
@Magisch for what it is worth, I consider lack of hunger instinct an illness. Same as lack of pain, which is dangerous for obvious reasons. Without eating the body might fall apart in ways you don't even know or feel directly, e.g. being tired all day, depressed, etc. Does it make sense to you?
If not I'll drop it, not here to judge. :)
@Tinkeringbell single argument?? Hard to believe...
FWIW I have annual checkups with blood tests to get extra health insurance services and a rebate on the extra contribution and so far beyond the usual there haven't been recorded side effects
I usually eat normally, a little too much to be optimal even, but when my fridge broke or I'm on vacation and not conveniently able to get cheap food ... eh
@ShadowWizard Seems to be a ladies thing, black things with a colored stripe ;) I see it a lot for socks, shoes, underwear, swimwear. Never see such things for males though :P
I rather have a single layer of clothing. Or two, if it's really cold, but then it's simple black top/long-sleeve under whatever long-sleeved thing I'm wearing :)
