Can someone please help me understand the appointment date of ChrisF as MSE mod?

It's mentioned as "appointed 3/12/2013" in meta.stackexchange.com/users?tab=moderators

But I couldn't find anything related to that date in MSE (I guess MSE didn't exist back then... I'm not sure)

I found this meta.stackexchange.com/q/318630... but it says that they were appointed on Nov 21, 2018

@RandomPerson The appointment date in the Moderators tab is probably borked because Chris F was a Stack Overflow moderator before the MSO/MSE split, so when he was later appointed as a mod here "for real", it didn't really assign the right date

I found this meta.stackoverflow.com/q/287864 but I think it is related to them becoming SO mod....

Eh, if I remember right those dates are odd things. Unlikely to be fixed but hey, it's up to you.

@RandomPerson I don't think it can say "elected", because those "elected" statements need to link to an election. MSE can't run elections, because it doesn't have a meta site, so no election page can run here. Any moderator then has to say "appointed". Since ChrisF was elected when Meta.SE was Meta.SO, the earliest date for him becoming a moderator here is 3/12/2013, so that's what was used.

I wonder if the same would happen if another SO mod were to be appointed here.
