good luck to Google law dep...
> Google is refunding all Stadia purchases — hardware, software, and DLC.
Will be fun if there is some gacha/contest/whatever games involved where the actual items value could be greater than the paid price....

@JNat another one for the backlog stackexchange.com/users/22947823/khan?tab=accounts

@SPArcheon Yes. I've had three so far, thinking of getting a fourth once it becomes available, hopefully that one will include an update to connect to the washing machine. It's annoying to have to walk over to manually interact with it.

@Tinkeringbell My washing machine now collects the dirty laundry by itself after it got vaccinated ....

8:39 AM
@rene Hmm. So you're saying I should get the machine vaccinated, not me?
I think he's firmly set against that, he doesn't really budge...

Yes, bring your machine ...
don't buy a Miele then ...

I have a ... samsung, I believe. Wanted a Miele but expensive.
Mom always has had Mieles, they last for ages. So far I can remember her only having to replace it once in the thirty years I lived at home.

I did buy a Miele because it needed to go up two flights of stairs and those machines are incredibly heavy

Mine isn't exactly lightweight either. Thinking of putting it on wheels, so I can more easily clean the dust that collects behind it.

@Tinkeringbell that sounds like a woman thing to do xD
Also be carefull when its on wheels and the spin cycle runs, it might go off

8:48 AM
that ^ it might spin cycle and visit you in the living room ....

Yeah, that's the only reason I've thought of it but haven't done so yet.

@Luuklag actually I was considering the same thing

The other option would be some kind of 'closet', I guess.

tho its so I could roll it out, level it, and roll it back in

Oh, I think mine is at least level. But with the way the bathroom is laid out, there's just enough room all around the thing (10cm or so on all sides) to collect dust, but it's just small enough to not easily push a vacuum in between.
It looks something like this, with blue being the walls and red the washing machine:
Can't really push it more to the back, as there's some cables and pipes behind it that prevent that.
Can push it straight up against the wall on the left of it, but then it shakes against that when it hits a spin cycle and the vibrations/noise are annoying.
wall to the right is not an option, that's where the tap for the water is.

9:46 AM
@Catija this may be an odd question to ask, but my quest to find someone who knows both continues. Since you finished Return to Monkey Island, can I ask you if you have ever heard about a movie called "Lum: The Forever"?

3 hours later…
12:41 PM
poof
thanks

@Feeds a stacker embraces onebox

1:52 PM
twitter.com/StackStatus/status/1575844926884962305 that's an interesting approach to letting people know about the 'legacy' maintenance announcements

Ah yes. If I now encounter a broken link, I will know exactly where to find the solution on Twitter (twitter is horrible for searching information like that!)

2:54 PM
@Tinkeringbell pointing back to a meta post
which... uh
generally isn't IF you know what you're looking for

3:30 PM
@MetaAndrewT. That's not the one linked in the tweet though.
I do see the one that's linked to his been updated though, so i guess that may work

3:58 PM

4:41 PM
@SPArcheon now it must be getting really smart if it knows how to mock you ;)

4:58 PM
I mean...
Hasbro could use some Stable Diffusion in their sale dep since their dolls...

5:15 PM
I installed SD in a rush this morning, looking forward to testing it!

3 hours later…
8:04 PM
Wait is it jit or git

8:18 PM
@M.A.R. Huh?

@M.A.R. Cit ;)
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cif < reference, used to be Jif here too. Changed a few years ago.

2 hours later…
10:40 PM
@Tinkeringbell wait, it's called Cif here too
That's racist
@Mithoron as in, github. Is it a place where you git things, or jit things?
@Tinkeringbell my deduction skills tell me the washing machine is about to blow up.
It's red

HAPPY HOUR!!!

🤣🤣🤣

It's just for the hour, and after that, you can't be happy again for a week.

I can be happy if they unblock the rest of the internet
No VPNs are working, and proxy servers are taken down every hour

10:55 PM
@Catija Time for drinks? :P

Or uh, just proxies? I dunno the right terminology there

:(
Sorry.
Are you doing OK other than internet?

Yay I ruined happy hour
Now I AM happy

HEE HEE HEE

@Catija prettty okay, thanks. How's Gus?
Wait, how old is Gus?
gets ready for Saving Private Ryan getting old meme

10:57 PM
@M.A.R. Being bitten less frequently by his big brother than he used to be. :D We're getting ready for his fourth birthday on October 23rd! :D Bennett just turned 6 last month.

Phew, okay.

Gus is the same age as number of years I've been working here... minus three months - to the day. I started July 23, he arrived October 23. :D

@Catija I was 16 before my sister bit me for the last time, so it may be less frequent, but it'll never truly stop :P

They don't grow up so fast

@cairdcoinheringaahing HAHAHAHAHA

10:59 PM
Wait, fourth birthday?
I would link to the meme to complete my performance but seems Google is blocked
Oh thank god, only heavily throttled
Haha guilt tripped again
