@Luuklag The backyard neighbour's rooster woke me up at 5:30, I went and closed all the windows I had still open, slept a little more... but I was up by 8:30.
Like I said, I was just waiting for the house to cool down before bed :P I think I was in bed a little past midnight.

@hyper-neutrino MS never registered that that post was deleted, so it's possible that, because that deletion was never detected, 5 minutes elapsed and it shot that report out to other rooms under the presumption that it was still alive. The cause of why that happened is unknown, maybe some weird server foo.
@hyper-neutrino Naw, be as fast as you want. Smokey typically recognizes when a post is deleted, it's just that in this case it missed it. If you're looking for someone to blame, uh...
> We are investing deeply in research across many areas to understand where our users and customers see the most value and how we can make the greatest impact across the communities, products, and platform that make up Stack Overflow and Stack Exchange
@Luuklag My understanding is that Yaakov has an answer to replace Rosie's that's being approved before being posted - but there's a better answer coming.
@Catija he responded in CHQ here and I'm wondering if we talk about the same/correct MS report. But he is obviously busy and Thomas is doing live debugging in CHQ so the transcript is a bit of a mess.
I can see why it might not be. It follows the patterns but it's possible that the person's just genuinely trying to understand something that they can share with their clients.
> I work for [company] that makes fireplaces and one of the questions we get from time to time is whether bi-fold doors on the fireplace should be left open or closed when there's a fire lit...
That's a legit question. The company link is unnecessary but it doesn't necessarily make it intentionally spam.
Thing is there's no question, and the link isn't to another forum discussion or question or anything, it's just to the company homepage, so... not sure. I am very confident in TPUing this.
I'm not going to object an CM. I follow the reasoning. I might even share your doubts. Maybe this one should be undeleted and the spam flags cleared....
It might be appropriate to just let this off with a warning about how to avoid spamming (I think we have a link for that). It could be a legit question - the link and mention of where people are asking this is totally unnecessary though, unless they have a forum link for context, which would be appropriate.
I work for a company that makes glass for fireplaces and we often get questions from customers about whether glass bi-fold doors on a fireplace should remain open when the fire is going or should be closed. Is there a safety reason for one or the other? A performance reason?
@AlwaysConfused I did a cursory google and found Web Whiteboard by ExplainEverything. Might be worth checking out, as you did ask for a whiteboard software with audio chat.
@Catija Yeah, I saw the question in the title, so it's possible that the user accidentally posted what looks very much like spam. Maybe applying the spam penalty on the user is a bit harsh; a warning about promotion may suffice.
As far as SD feedback goes though, that looks so close to spam that it seems to fit TP perfectly. I'd want the system to catch that, even if it was posted unintentionally. I don't know if this is the best chatroom to discuss Charcoal feedback (first time in here really), but as rene points out, the transcript in CHQ is a bit cluttered at the moment.
I agree with you, though - TP seems to fit fine here, even if a spam flag is too final for some. Curious to see what the potential spammer's next post will be, though.
Resurrecting the post is fine, I think. I don't think I would have done it myself; I would probably have left a comment after deleting telling the OP to fix it themself and raise a flag after doing so. Anyway, I can't bring myself to FP that, so the user is currently blacklisted, and their next post will be reported. I expect that will tell us a lot about the user's intent.
@cigien Sure, the post as-is (as-was?) seems to match a TP - what y'all do with stuff that gets caught, ticks all the boxes, and still somehow isn't spam... you're the expert there. :)
@Catija Why wouldn't a company who makes glass for stove doors already know the answer? And if they didn't they should be redirecting their customer to the manufacturer of the stove in question?
A simple google search:
> A popular misconception is that fireplace doors are able to increase the efficiency and heat output of masonry fireplaces.
The purpose of glass doors on a fireplace is not to increase heat output or efficiency of open fires.
Manufacturers of fireplace doors typically state that the doors must be open during and for a while after fires. Studies and research have also shown that closed fireplace doors do not increase either heat output or efficiency
@Catija Expert might be a stretch, but thanks :) Yeah, I'm fine with the feedback on the report being in the current state. As to the spamminess of the post, the fact that the OP hasn't responded with even "oops, sorry .." makes me suspicious as to their intent. OPs posting questions that look very much like spam, and then immediately ignoring activity on the post, doesn't feel right.
I got used to it on M&TV when people would ask ID questions and then never return to do anything, not answer comments on their question, add details, notice that there's answers... nothing.

Not sure this is the best room to ask for us to review your suggested edits, given that this is a chat room on the Meta SE server and not an SO chat room.
I don't actually think there is a room that coordinates suggested edits or general review efforts that isn't SOCVR, and as rene said, that's not an option.
I will say, though, that I have noticed the suggested edit queue being full pretty darn often again over there on SO.
if yes, you could carefully ask if a room that focuses on that tag is willing to review your pending edits. Not all rooms are open for that so ask first before you drop your list in.
