Just went through and cleaned out some faq-proposed questions; most of them were extremely old, and a few weren't actually faq proposals but feature requests to change the old /faq pages.
It might help to put it in the message if you have any specific goals with sharing that information, so that people know what they're supposed to do with it.
IMO that tag is quite pointless. Just start ordinary support question with self answer and flag asking to add the faq tag and make it CW after a while if it get positive feedback.
@MetaAndrewT. think it's time to remove that event? Been years since there was any activity during it... lol
@fbueckert sounds like scammers, to be honest.
People who claim they'll do something, get money for that something, then vanish into thin air or just never really meaning to do that something in the first place.
@Shree I ping only when two conditions are met: score -8 or less (so it's easily missed) and posted at least hour ago. Otherwise I just wait.
@JourneymanGeek Neither do I. I just happen to be lucky that one or more of those had a meta post as a nod to TeX's. And I wouldn't miss a chance to be snarky.
Actually, I've probably read meta rants on ~100 SE sites
Just for the sake of completeness: 1. If the post is deleted within 2 minutes (Smokey will try to clean itself) 2. If the post is deemed false positive (`sd f`) 3. If manually told to delete the message (`sd del`)
