Hah. My solar company can't even do their jobs properly.
Got a stop work order today; apparently, they don't have the permits to do the job.

2:17 AM
... they didn't have Access to do it...

2:30 AM
@MetaAndrewT. BOO SIR BOO I SAY!

3:20 AM
Normally I see del pls request come with pinging people like Shadow , Bart , rene.... I know it's help to delete fast. May we allow del plz request without pinging people.
This one closed as off-topic by MOD but don't delete. . Single MOD hammer is not enough to delete that question ?

@Shree I commented on one of their previous closures and they said it's their personal preference not to immediately delete upon closure. If your disagree with it, you should comment there again.

@SonictheBracketedHedgehog bleh.
@Shree some folks like pinging. Some don't
If I see stuff and it needs taking care of
@Shree Peter voted first
then Monica
Time travelling is not a mod power XD
@SonictheBracketedHedgehog dude. Not cool.
We all have different ways to deal with things - and it works pretty well
Applying pressure on a mod to do things a certain way isn't helpful

If I were a mod and I received a comment with a recommendation as to how I could do something differently, I'd take it as feedback rather than as pressure.

Rob
Which they might have done. But now you're suggesting someone else send them the exact same feedback.. which isn't really helpful

@SonictheBracketedHedgehog If you do it yourself, sure.
But its really worth considering we do things for a reason, and mods are, in this case, picked cause folks trust they know what to do. And if we don't know we'll ask.

3:33 AM
Giving feedback to a moderator is not distrusting them, however.

> they said it's their personal preference not to immediately delete upon closure
So the mod spent the time explaining
> If your disagree with it, you should comment there again.
incitement to apply pressure.
While we do janitorise off topic posts - in this case encouraging people not to do it again >>>>> than clean up
And there's more than one way to do it
Said mod feels giving users time to read the comment is valuble.
I feel they can read it anyway, and I'll forget otherwise.
On the gripping hand, I'm pretty happy to delete a post another mod closed, especially if there's a response.

Understood. MOD things is not so simple what we see :D

@Shree there's often 4 different ways to do things. Which may or may not be correct

Rob
And even if you pick the correct one, someone will always be upset :P

lol

3:44 AM
And if your actions cause us to not have nice things, I will be upset. At you. Sonic.

4:30 AM
Mods are human exception handler, not robot...

!!/blame robot

@Shree It's Aaron Hall's fault.

Rob
5:19 AM
See? Mods always get the blame ;)

:D

I should be getting a package today
I hope I don't miss it

@MetaAndrewT. By the same token, Community is not a robot.

5:40 AM
Looks like hims056 is back

For a moment I thought that older gentleman was the choir. And was confused

It does say "one voice" in the title. Though selling him as a children might be difficult.

Hence the confusion

6:41 AM
ping

sprang!

oh, good, the office's internet's back online...

6:57 AM
For sites that have ads enabled... is it normal to see 2 ads on the right sidebar at the same time? E.g. 1 from SO, and 1 from Community ad?

3 hours later…
9:33 AM
Apparently...
The office internet is down...
Because...

9:56 AM
They forgot to pay the bill -_-;

1 hour later…
11:23 AM
@MetaAndrewT. AAGh.
Well, free time for you?

12:17 PM
@Shree It's actually pinging people you'd need permission for. Sha, Bart, rene et al. know for a fact that if they're pinging each other, they won't be upset.
Dangit

1:09 PM
Room is quiet... must be Friday.

Nope, it's Monday. You're just confused. Pay no attention to the men behind me. Nothing happened.

I just hope I slept well this weekend then.
And that I got a lot of crochet done.

2:03 PM
@Tinkeringbell Sure you did! Now, please follow Mith.

Nooo! flies away

2:55 PM
This week has been so busy.
I'm looking forward to having a more relaxing weekend.
And by less busy, I have a ball tomorrow, and family gathering on Sunday.

Well, I hope you have a ball...

It will be a grand ol' time.
Won't get to dance much due to some back issues, but I'm hoping I get at least a few in.

1 hour later…
4:28 PM

@Feeds feels like jamming to hard rock...

Got a stop work order today; apparently, they don't have the permits to do the job.
Yeeeeep. My solar company is incompetent.
There are no permits at all for this job.

is that for you private? Or the company you work for?

Private.

Okay. And? Any loses? Did you already pay them?

Yep. All paid.
And it was supposed to be installed in June. Of last year.

WTF?
That is bad.

7:44 PM
Yep.
So I've been tearing strips off of them every time I get yet another piece of incompetence coming from them.
I'm at the point of starting to bill them for the time I'm putting in to deal with their screwups.

@fbueckert sounds stressful :/

@rene It's exhausting.
I shouldn't have to sit on someone to get them to do the job I've paid them to do.

true
At least you found someone you could pay to do nothing.
I have a roof that needs maintenance. All I got so far are automatic e-mail replies.

If I wanted to pay someone to do nothing, I'd find a buddy that needed some cash.

7:59 PM
yep
