Just went through and cleaned out some questions; most of them were extremely old, and a few weren't actually proposals but feature requests to change the old /faq pages.

It might help to put it in the message if you have any specific goals with sharing that information, so that people know what they're supposed to do with it.

IMO that tag is quite pointless. Just start ordinary support question with self answer and flag asking to add the tag and make it CW after a while if it get positive feedback.
@MetaAndrewT. think it's time to remove that event? Been years since there was any activity during it... lol
@fbueckert sounds like scammers, to be honest.
People who claim they'll do something, get money for that something, then vanish into thin air or just never really meaning to do that something in the first place.
@Shree I ping only when two conditions are met: score -8 or less (so it's easily missed) and posted at least hour ago. Otherwise I just wait.

@ShadowTheCurlyBracedWizard TRADITION MAN TRADITION!

lol
Like the out-out-out dated wheel of blame link? :D

Yup
I mean I guess someone can fork and upgrade it....

10:08 AM
@JourneymanGeek it was, many times, but link never edited. :)

Clearly the wrong person saw it ;p

Do we have a post about How to encourage users for voting?

Don't think so.
Write one ;)
That is probably more for per site meta though

@JourneymanGeek Any post on child meta you're aware of?

Nope
And personally I really feel that needs to be tailored to the site

Ok. NP

cause we don't just want voting, we want appropriate voting

11:31 AM
@JourneymanGeek ofcourse

12:04 PM
@Pandya Google "vote early, vote often"
@JourneymanGeek You're so helpful
Huh, I thought it was gonna bring up meta.TeX. It didn't. @Pandya tex.meta.stackexchange.com/questions/12/vote-early-and-often
@Marshmallow You're so helpful

12:33 PM
@Marshmallow quite honestly? I don't keep track of more than a handful of sites ._.

@JourneymanGeek Neither do I. I just happen to be lucky that one or more of those had a meta post as a nod to TeX's. And I wouldn't miss a chance to be snarky.
Actually, I've probably read meta rants on ~100 SE sites
But that's about it. Man, good times.

12:50 PM
What's a professional language?

@Marshmallow Oh! I forgot my answer Thanks for reminding.
@Marshmallow Nice.

Curious, what leads to @SmokeDetector having a chat message removed?

@bruglesco The spam post it's about being deleted within a certain timespan...

user384163
The ping sound changed

user384163
oh and thanks

Ping sound has been different here for as long as I can remember ;) You're welcome :)

user384163
ohh it's just because chat.meta.stackexchange is a different chat server

user384163
3:55 PM
That makes sense.

Just for the sake of completeness:
1. If the post is deleted within 2 minutes (Smokey will try to clean itself)
2. If the post is deemed false positive (`sd f`)
3. If manually told to delete the message (`sd del`)

4:13 PM
@bruglesco No they just want to make meta sound freakishly otherworldly

@Marshmallow Floweriaans ...

Pie
4:59 PM
I think the @ comment system sometimes does not show user name ?
I cannot understand why

5:23 PM
@bruglesco Chat.SO also has a different ping sound
@Pie If it's at the beginning, you're trying to @-notify the post author and they haven't commented, it's stripped.

@Pie When you're pinging the author of the post, it's automatically stripped IIRC. They will automatically be notified anyway

Not if it's in the middle or end like this, @Marshmallow, for example.

It's weird that we're talking about stripping and it's not inappropriate

5:59 PM
@Marshmallow remove your mental processes from water displacement systems

I strip a margarine
