> If the moderator was appointed as a "pro-tem" moderator on a beta site, or was elected during an election while the site was still in beta, their moderator status ends when the site graduates and the new moderators are elected. To retain their moderator status after graduation, they must nominate themselves as a candidate and be elected.
@SonictheAnonymousHedgehog your terminology is confusing and somewhat convoluted. If you're only talking about MSE mods, say that rather than saying something longer with a link that is only clear when you follow it. That link only relates to MSE but you use a plural that implies there are many different sites with those sorts of appointments.
@Catija I don't know whether the terms for Stack Apps and Ask Patents mods are for life or not, so I assumed they'd be like MSE's. For instance, there's a mod on Stack Apps who hasn't moderated in a while, but still gets to retain their status.
I think the only difference on whether or not the MSE mods would be considered pro-tem or not would be for stepping down. Pro-tem mods who step down can't reclaim the diamond, whereas elected mods can.
@SonictheAnonymousHedgehog it's a FAQ. You need to be clear and not make assumptions. A list of the sites is much clearer than a term you made up that is not well explained and shared a name with another.
@Sonic it usually seems to me that you find it hard to notice these things, so I'm letting you know that your insistent badgering is starting to come across as annoying, and I'm not even the one you're talking to.
He said "(1) Tuesday, 4:52pm, userXYZ posted a question on Meta" , "(2) Tuesday, 4:56pm, rene closed the question" "(3) Tuesday, 4:57pm, userXYZ got angry and wrote the following comments..."
He had access to information that I didn't know people had. Such as deleted comments.
@ShadowWizard He froze us all for 7 minutes and explained some timeline with exact timings of when comments were made. He had access to "warning messages" that were sent to the user on a completely different SE.
