@JourneymanGeek I don't think knowing them is the problem, so much as knowing someone who actually has the time to do it. I'm guessing that all of the devs are pretty swamped.
I wonder if we should create an iOS 11 tag for the iOS-app questions that seem to be focusing on the app's inability to work properly with that release of the OS.
I don't know why I feel that recent TV shows on Discovery or NatGeo don't look so appealing compared to... 10 years ago? Nowadays, I prefer some YouTube channels :/
feral rabbit was found in the garage again ... hopefully we will not end up with a nest of baby rabbits one day - garage has been popular with wildlife, had a possum's nest & a nest of mice
What is it that people are so desperate to know how to pronounce my name? Be happy I didn't choose Gregor Frenkel Frank as my displayname. Good luck pronouncing that ...
@Shog9 could you tell me: will I receive a suspension again for accepting back answers which I unaccepted early? :) Really want to return @rene his 30 rep.
@alexolut only if you're going to do that in a short period. So just take your time, I'll be around for another 6 to 8 weeks to enjoy those 30 points somewhere ...
@alexolut The real question is why did you do it in the first place? What changed about the answers that made them all unacceptable now, when they were acceptable initially? And why would you go back and accept them all or even a portion again?
@bluefeet I want to return the all rep which users lose after my unacception. Because it was just for test purpose (see Rene's answer above).
If you guys all worry about rep gained by accepting, why (un)accepting is allowed only for OP? Allow it for mods (like it works for MSDN forums) and all will be happy.
I'm pretty sure even if you set a daily limit for accepting/unaccepting you will still be asking "why you unaccepted my answer? Return me my rep!" And so on. Probably suspending again user who make unaccept without explanation.
@alexolut I don't care either way but clearly the CMs saw your unaccepts as ... unacceptable ... so, as others have noted, at the very least you should ask the Team or otherwise let them know your plans so they understand that you're not being destructive. It's the sort of thing people who rage quit do.
@alexolut unaccepting 1 answer might be understandable, but mass unaccepting looks like someone is rage-quitting without knowing what's the reason behind it. I don't think reputation is the bigger issue here, people just noticed "something is wrong" when you started mass unaccepting.
I don't really understand - if you're doing it for science, why are you so defensive about explaining why? The Team is doing their jobs. A simple explanation would likely have had your suspension reverted.
@Catija I made explanations for what I already did and for what I'm planning to do. But "Team" (as you said) didn't give me an answer (yet).
@AndrewT. and now I want to know: can I accept them back without suspension again, and why I need to do it by several days (as supposed by @rene and @Catija) instead of single day?
@alexolut In your question you show that your response to them was defensive without any explanation. You should have used your Mod Message responses to explain rather than confronting them about the rules. bluefeet may yet respond but as you can see from the message here, not all of the CMs have seen your question.
I really think you can do that in a single day, as long as it's done sparingly. Again, people are sensitive when they see something that looks suspicious. You mentioned "20 in the morning", reaccepting 20 answers in a quick succesion (i.e. in 1 minute) looks suspicious (people will think "I'll just accept any answer without reading!"). Instead, you can even reaccept 100 answers while waiting for e.g. 5 or 10 minutes for each reacceptance.
@Catija CM should be much more clever than regular user like me. He shouldn't silently suspend my account and ignore my stupid questions. CM should bring his point of view to the user, who "voilates the rule" and make explanations why.
@alexolut you can only know by trying ;) .... My main concern and message is: Don't do a lot of actions (any action for that matter) in a very short (just above what the server throttle allows you) timespan. That might get noticed and does set off alarm bells, either direct or indirect. Both you and I seem to be concerned to not have you suspended again, hence my suggestion to spread out what ever you want to fix. Just my 0,02$ (or a currency of choice)
@AndrewT. the only time between of posting answer and accepting is important. No matter how quick I do accept, I could read the answer early in the past.
Hmm... bounties certainly don't count, but +15 from acceptance also don't? I thought the immunity means that rep from acceptance can bypass daily rep cap, but getting 200 rep in a day (including from acceprance) is already counted as 'mortarboard'..... right? Or I have a really misunderstanding since the beginning...
Given an array of integers, A1, A2, ..., An, including negatives and positives, and another integer S. Now we need to find three different integers in the array, whose sum is closest to the given integer S. If there exists more than one solution, any of them is ok.
You can assume all the integer...
The answers on some questions are just a giant mess. The top voted answers don't even answer the question as asked, there are a few upvoted comments-posted-as-answers as well as a bunch of upvoted answers that won't work at all.
... and duplicate answers posted years after the originals
@Shog9 not sure that I understood you clearly: You suggest me to write a post on MSE where I need to specify time interval when I'm planning to accept back a lot of answers, right? Before doing such accepting.
