@Braiam Does SE even blacklist a tag before removing it?

@Fundamental yes

user259867
My experience with this is limited to the story on Math. There, Tim Post added a non-blocking warning while the cleanup was in process. The tag could still be added at that time, but thanks to the warning, that did not happen often. Then it was completely blocked and removed at the same time.

Q: Please blacklist the /install tag

GillesWe've long held that the install tag is bad and should be split into system-installation and software-installation. A: A guide to moderating comments

Shog9When should I flag a comment? When it will be shown to future readers but offers them nothing of value. There are many different sorts of comments that qualify here, roughly categorized by the flagging dialogue itself: rude or offensive comments should always be flagged. What you consider ...

@LynnCrumbling Here's your flagging manual!

@Mooseman my 2 cents too

2:47 PM
@InfiniteRecursion Or rather, don't dig through comments for free flags unless they are nuked with one flag, because it's a waste of everyone's time if the comments don't cause trouble with visibility

@LynnCrumbling why that? Why stop there? If I had the money, I would buy a Kuratas...

@Unihedro if only there were some way to measure the amount of time saved to everyone else who views those posts since they don't have to read those comments since they are deleted. Then maybe we could see if the moderator "waste" of time is really a waste of time to not warrant that type of activity.

@bluet Or you could run for mod, win, and go delete all those pointless comments in courtesy of me.

Then the future MSO posts will be similar to the meta.math posts written in honour of Fundamental - "the mod with many names has done xyz, halp!"
