Related to this is the question of "why are comments auto-generated on my behalf when I type in a custom off-topic closure reason?" Just today, I had someone complain that I was a "keyboardwarrior" (whatever that is) in response to an auto-generated close comment. One wonders what the purpose of those are. If the community doesn't agree with me and the question never gets closed, then my voice doesn't really matter. And if they do, it's redundant. — Cody Gray 15 hours ago
TIL keyboardwarrior
Keyboardwarrior > cyber policemen
@Bart: ^Someone called your team member a keyboard warrior
@JanDvorak mouse warriors closed it
16:08
@SterlingArcher Honestly, if I had that much more time I would revise my downvotes cast so I could reverse the improved posts as well. But there's so much to moderate I only give them fifteen minutes. And only answers as well, I bet if questions were worth salvaging and actually gets salvaged it would get enough upvotes for being clear to counter the rep lost from dvs.
@JanDvorak tl;dr kill-pls
now accepting delvotes ;-)
@Braiam too late, dead
I am outta here ...
@Unihedron oh there's definitely a time limit for the to fix otherwise I stop as well

I'm between 1 and an invisible group which hunts for good questions (still)
(poke @Sam @Pro)
Yep, exactly.
Sam
Sam
@Unihedron Yep.
I switched to bounty questions recently. Am supposed to get a bounty tonite :D
Congrats!
My problem with bounty questions is that someone else comes up with a better solution most of the time.
Not smart enough for bounty questions :(
16:22
I found one about parsing HTML with regex. hmm..
Haha...everybody knows the answer. Who placed a bounty on that?
Sam
Sam
@InfiniteRecursion Congrats!
It's about highlighting and attributes. stackoverflow.com/q/25121092/3622940
@Sam Thanks Uni, Sam
Honestly, I find posting a link to the question in a relevant SO chat room way more useful advertising than having a bounty.
16:24
@Unihedron Go ahead and write something creative like bobince
Sam
Sam
@Uni Btw I think I've fixed the bug that kept killing the bot (famous last words)...
@Sam Websockets? Rene broke the bot when I was running it once as well
@Unihedron A lot of users avoid chat for good reasons.
Gotcha.
Sam
Sam
@Unihedron No, no. I didn't use websockets. I think the bot died when it tried to post a message if it was already throttled.
16:27
@Sam Congrats
@Sam Yeah, that happens.
Sam
Sam
So I've added my rate limit function to fix it (hopefully).
@InfiniteRecursion Thx.
@Sam temporary?
Sam
Sam
@JanDvorak Nope, permanent.
How about if the last message has been posted with the throttle limit, concatenate it onto the next message to post?
Sam
Sam
@Unihedron Nah, that'd look ugly.
Besides, I've already implemented it.
Yeah, I realized too. Just throwing it out there.
@Sam There is a way to see how long you have to wait before you can post a message. That way, you actually don't have to use a rate limit function. If you are throttled, the time is in the response: github.com/Manishearth/ChatExchange/blob/master/chatexchange/…
Doesn't matter if ugly

@ProgramFOX Yes, it is possible (and more complex). But I just can't be bothered to change the code now.

@Sam It is actually less complex IMO.
Sam

@Unihedron this room?

@ProgramFOX That's what I'm using atm. Doing it the other way would involve timers, more global vars, etc.
@Unihedron Ok, I'll bring it in... Guys (and duck) let me know if it gets too much.

When did "Too minor" disappear as an edit rejection reason? I can't find the thread about it and whoever did it definitely needs to be downvoted

Q: What should be used in place of "Too Minor?"

Robert HarveyNow that "Too Minor" is gone, what is the new workflow for suggested edits? @Unihedron Hi there :)

I really hate too minor's disappearance. Brings back bad memories of when they pulled too localized.
Ahh good to know I wasn't the only one that missed it
Remember to Reject and Edit minor suggested edits! But don't Reject and Edit audits.
