@AndrewT. Don't you have multithreading issues while accessing critical sections in Android? I have been reading a bit of it as a hobby lately, I have seen some threads. And the Collections package looks similar too...

@InfiniteRecursion yes, but Android handles that quite differently. You may want to read more on Android Dev's. And I seldom to do multithreading in my project, so... that's why :(

It's something to do with the increasingly terrible air over here. If you haven't heard already, I think HKSAR is famous for the poor air. Carbon dioxide + Water in clouds -> Carbonic acid, or something. Not really the best chemistry student.
@AndrewT. tried Boot Broadcast to start service but it never get that broadcast. while searching found that ICS having some issue with broadcast. while same thing was working on GingerBread and even on JB.

@Unihedron He wrote he is addicted to gathering badges, and asked how he could stop his addiction. Lots of comments told him to stop drinking coffee. It quickly gathered downvotes. When I read it, it was closed and heavily downvoted. I commented that he should delete the post to get a tumbleweed badge. He replied with a very happy thank you message and deleted it. It was funny :)

@Unihedron I need your regex skills. I'm trying to improve the SmokeDetector regex to make sure that it matches phone numbers if the digits are separated by an underscore. Note that the length of the chars to match is still 10, but this is only numbers. So I need a way to make sure that the length {10} (or similar) does not count the underscores. Do you know a way for that?
@Unihedron Hey Uni, in agreement with you that identifying patterns with potential for catastrophic backtracking is challenging—some "bad ones" might be adequate if you have full control of the subject string. This page identifies four types of symptoms. Definitely an interesting topic.

@InfiniteRecursion of course it's to each their own, but if somebody asks why you downvoted, and you didn't comment, you may forget to reverse if they improve their answer.
@SterlingArcher I add answers onto my "monitor stack" for fifteen minutes after I downvote. If the posters asks what's wrong with their post, I'd reply. But I wouldn't just tell what's wrong + downvote at the same time - never ends well.
