Stack Overflow, Meta SE, and Mathematics SE

I got it on SO, MSE

Dunno about math

@Pops Ah, I see. I think I'm not on that site.
I was wondering why Super User haven't got one yet. Maybe people there aren't so interested in finding obscure hats.
Thanks.

@b_jonas Not necessarily true, because once you have a hat you can wear it on any site, so for example after MSE got it I could wear Oprah hair on any site in the network and theoretically show up on the leaderboard that way.

@Ϻ.Λ.Ʀ. is this the script you are looking for?

@IlmariKaronen +1 for having that hat on.

Hmm, weird... some chat avatars seem to break if I leave a chat tab open and unrefreshed for too long. :/
I wonder if that's a bug in chat or some glitch in my browser.

@IlmariKaronen Your image failed to load down there. And the user list -- the hat doesn't appear there.

I didn't mean the hats, I meant the avatars themselves. If you zoom in you can see that Braiam and Tim Stone and jcolebrand etc. are also missing their avatars.

@SterlingArcher Oooh are we sharing flag counts?

5:48 PM
And for some reason mine is visible everywhere except in the corner. :/

@IlmariKaronen That's not what I see. Well, something like this happened earlier, and I checked Chrome's console, and it said the images failed to load.
@Undo Yawns I would've gotten 20k halpful flagz on SO by now if I frequented SO.

Yeah, I've had that happen before, too. It seems leaving a chat tab running overnight triggers it. Funny thing is, this tab looked just fine when I left it, so the images must've stopped working at some point.

Q: What is the etymology of the term “Bumfiddler”?

Quill - HAT MANIACI heard about about the term 'bumfiddler' from a E-Newsletter I receive, and I was wondering the etymology of this term? Is it a purely sexual phrase, or does it have a more mainstream / normal usage? This website seems to define it as: Noun: - A busybody / fidgety person. Is, or shoul...

The Joy of Hats!

@Shog9 Just out of curiosity, was the time limit for inactive account deletion bumped up from six months to a full year at some point? Because looking at this graph, it sure looks as if the number of first questions asked on SO after account creation drops off pretty sharply past the one year mark, whereas there's no obvious turn in the graph at six months.

@Doorknob冰 Mm, not so sure. I think it was earned in the last hour.

@hichris123 Cool! Based on the image, I'm assuming it's a reference to the Royal Navy officer, and not to the serial killer.

Ah, that would make sense. :P
Bounty would actually make sense then -- with the navy collecting bounty.

Maybe the upvote came in recently and the criterion is something to do with score >0?
"Bounty and accepted answer with score >0 but less than [half of] top answer?"

No, all three -- accept, upvote, and bounty -- were 5 hours ago.
