I'm very concerned that with just using rep as a criteria, we could end up with a high-volume questioner, who's never set foot in meta, never voted, and never edited anything :(

How many API requests are we making here, hmmm... let's see... 1 for so/user, 3 for so/user/tags, 30 for stackauth/user/associate, one more for mso/user... wow
@waffles, just one thing I still haven't gathered, does a 2k+ approval need a second approval or does it go straight through. And is the intention still to give rep for edits, and if so is that going to be retroactive? :)

but I think you're right about rep/post, though less because of bounty than because of those mega question (favourite programming cartoon etc) which can really screw up the stat
but I guess saying that is saying that rep itself is a screwed-up stat ;)

ok, given that it's very unlikely that someone asks a question tagged with "interview-answer", i can see the use of this synonym is greater than the possible damage it causes
maybe the tag synonym page should explain that "alternative spelling for a tag" does also include cases like fast being alternative spelling of the performance tag. i.e they don't need to have the same meaning. currently, "bike"/ "bicycle" and "sock"/"socks" shows two kind of synonyms: equivalence and plurality. fast/performance seems to be a third kind.
@waffles maybe synonyms should have an explicit kind? this way, if there are two synonyms, both being of kind "equivalence", the system could automatically construct the transitive closure.
@JohannesSchaublitb the big issue we were seeing a while back was lots of people kept on suggesting and approving stuff like .... php5 -> php ... this was a nightmare ... there is code now that specifically disables this pattern
@YiJiang, really really looking good. You deserve Pekka's rep for this :)
May I suggest an intro text at top: especially to state that the presentation order is random (if/when it is), and say that each person is free to decide what importance to give to each statistic. You could even link back to my question so people can add stuff there that they'd like to see.
I'd also consider sticking a 'add this code to my cart' button at the bottom for the SO dev team :)

@YiJiang, the profile links are missing the .com. And if you can get 'last activity' date from meta, that would be ultra cool too (though you might want to hide it, in case they all go visit just to screw the statistic :)
I found myself doing lots of clicking through to profiles to try and compare nominees with (what I consider to be) useful/interesting information.
I've cobbled together an Excel file with some metrics, may help you with your decision, and possible inspire the dev team to put together something l...

so apparently to get all bodies of questions, answers and comments under a certain tag, I must first get a list of questions via search/, then take the ids and pass them to questions/ for the actual content
