@TheUnhandledException, I'd go for a non-s/mime solution, but again, automation is key. The issue here is a group of doctors want to be able to email patient information. But that's gotta be secure, silly HIPAA and all. :P
@rchern Or maybe a secure wiki-like or webdav interface they can all log into, and they can email each other URLs for the wiki. But now we're really far from your original request!!
To be honest the biggest reason why I wouldn't diss a diamond is I want to see the diamond tools =P you can fix that with a few screenshots I believe
Actually, now that I've unlocked 10k mod tools on Gaming, I've found out they're so disappointingly meh I don't actually care anymore about reaching anything more than 3k rep
@TheUnhandledException, they're actually ok with getting an email with a link to a site that requires login. They realize that's probably going to be an expensive commercial route though and thus suddenly don't like it.
I'm nearly 2/3rds there on DIY and half way on Programmers. I'd like to get close on UI and Web Apps but I think I might be spreading myself too thin at the moment

Argh, sometimes I hate people! I received this request from one of our client: "Please add the following to the header to the righ, in black text, 1/2 the size of the current header text: *text to be added followed*"
Their header has silvery-gray text... over a dark blue gradient. So I did as they asked, added the text in black to the right of the existing text
She comes back and says, "This must be fixed ASAP. I needed the text in the same gray, and it should be on the next line. As I said, the existing text should be broken into three lines". WTF?

I have a hard time sympathizing with someone who, upon being criticized, immediately jumps to the conclusion that the entire site is biased against him.
And the edit history would have been far less confusing if we hadn't all had to keep making the same corrections, over and over again, to the rest of the post.
@Shog9 You changed one fictional word to another fictional word to be funny. He got in a rather lengthy edit war with the author of the post, intentionally making it more confusing. There's something of a difference
And that makes it ok? He added the tag [seabass], the OP rolled back for obvious reasons, and he rolled back again to bring it back. That's seriously not cool
Maybe I'm missing something, but it sure looks like 4 high-rep MSO users ganged up on that random new guy because he had a poorly worded question
First non-OP revision: I improved the grammar in the title, replaced one misspelling with another, removed erroneous speculation on voter identity, and dug up and added a link to his deleted question.
Next revision: Jon B replaces fake word with real word
Next revision: OP rolls back all third-party edits
(at this point, things start getting crazy, likely because the OP himself had just turned a heavily-edited but reasonably-readable question back into a mess)
And no part of that seems...unnecessary? The OP shouldn't have rolled back the corrections, but revisions 6-13 were pretty much nonsense
Apparently in the time it took us to discuss this the OP has blanked the question twice and random finally locked it, so I guess he's more at fault than I thought
@MichaelMrozek yeah, there was maybe one edit by the OP in that whole mess that could be considered "in good faith". And even that (editing in question text) was only necessary because he wouldn't just undelete his question.
so yeah, we didn't have to play with him, but the joke edits were fairly innocuous (replacing one error with another - the proper response should be to fix the error not roll back to a different error)
@Shog9 I suppose. Adding joke tags and rolling back the OPs attempts to undo it looks really bad, but I guess the consensus is nobody cares if the OP is being rude
There seem to be people who honestly believe that SO exists solely to do their homework for them. Maybe it's the language barrier, I donno... But they come off like aristocrats talking to rather dull servants vs. students humbly seeking knowledge.
