I have a jailbroken iPhone. Recently, I have realized that its battery usage is abysmal. Suspecting that it has something to do with the radio, I downloaded Data Counter from Cydia to check real-time data usage and found that even with push notifications off and exchange set to manual, there is a...
my thinking is if you use localstorage for config settings and let the user change how long to show that info for ... I can see I now know what I want to teach myself for Q1 2011
I was going to mess around with the notification stuff, but since Marc has integrated it into the main chat I don't see much point outside of harassing him repeatedly to fix it. ;)
You can clear the storage space with localStorage.clear(). Usually you'll want to couple it with the JSON functions to let it store complex objects instead of flat strings
Supported on IE8+ and all other modern browsers. And that's... it.
Hmm, I think it's lunch time....which means a trip to Walmart and probably a stop-in at the McDonald's, since I've gone long enough without eating that that doing so won't kill me.
The line between on-topic and off-topic questions has always been on the soft side here. As time goes on, we seem to get further and further away from a concrete line or simple definition of what is on-topic. As a result, I feel like the quality of questions might be slipping. I think that by ...
I remember seeing a list of easy to pick licenses in the Mozilla Addons website when I developed an addon. Can Stack Overflow create and popularize commercial licenses?
You will think this is weird coming from a Mozilla Addon developer, but I value open source and commercial, because they're my ...
@RebeccaChernoff Apparently I haven't read your message, despite my replying to it, so this desktop notification has faithfully stuck around to make sure I do.

That's actually a closely guarded secret around here. But, in general I'm the CTO of a technology company, and I write a lot of Java code. I also spend a lot of time in this chat and help to work on these userscripts.
@TimStone I ... err ... what I meant to say was ...
@thephpdeveloper nonsense, it's why I need to be the only one to write code around here ... they don't find too many bugs in my code, except for business logic ones.
I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but predominantly when I'm the only dev on an .aspx, it doesn't happen as often statistically speaking
when others come along between my changes, it increases the bug count from my code additions, cos I expect their code to do certain things, like not make unexpected async calls that aren't documented, etc
@TimStone yes, yes it would. However, he's been mucking about in FogBugz all morning, and you do java :p
