A: Delete uploaded image

Shog9Flag it for moderator attention, explain why you need it removed. Specifically, explain why just editing it out or deleting the post isn't good enough. If you convince the moderator handling the flag that you're not crazy, they'll pass it on to one of us & we'll nuke it. Standard disclaimer: t...

Never knew moderators could do that.
user259867
Moderators can't. But as the post says, they can communicate your request to an employee.

00:05
I guess by the time I get to 10k I will learn if all these years wasn't enough :)
*werent
ah
@chx Mods can't delete images. This is something a Stack Exchange employee needs to do.
user259867
(1) You can edit chat messages for 2 minutes after postting.
(2) The abilities of moderators go far beyond the abilities of 10K users.
chx

And you aren't one of those? :)
i mean, an employee

Or so we want you to think. (jk)
user259867
That the 10K privilege is called "access to mod tools" is a historical artifact. It should be called "access to 10K tools", but that would be kind of tautological.
user259867
@DragonLordtheFiery Apparently, they are now "Stack Overflow employees". That will take a while to get used to.
If you need someone, you could ping Pops, Tim Post (not to be confused with Tim Stone), bluefeet, JNat, or any of the other employees around.

Yep. So there are several privileges of the category "access to moderation tools", and one of them is named "access to moderator tools", where "moderator" should be read as "moderation".

Morning everyone
Evening, catcaller.
Question:
It seems like tags mostly work ok on SO, right?
Are there sites where they don't work very well, and if so, why not?
Is it worth bothering with?
I ask because the tags on ELU and ELL are often almost worse than none at all.
But on SO I use them and they seem fine.
I'm wondering why.
user259867
Tags work well if they push questions toward users with expertise in the topic.
user259867
So, someone is an expert on [word-choice] while others are on [word-usage]. Hmmm.
Yeah, see?
Plus everybody just tags everything [grammar] or [meaning].
No matter what it is about. So it doesn't help.
Domain expertise makes good sense on SO because both the asker and the answerer agree on the domain.

A big assed fat pussy
that can be considered wrong by many people.
One of them happens to be a moderator.
When you play with fire, accept the risk of getting some burns.
(or, don't expect the big bosses to save you when you irritate moderators on purpose)
user202362
@ShadowWizard when you play with fire, you expect to get burnt sometimes
user202362
It's just a chat, it's not like I am going to prision or anything. Sadly even no even a demerit point on my drivers license despite the fact I drive everyday
user202362
@ShadowWizard I am expecting the opposite, probably get banned even longer if they find it out
@ShadowWizard Statement 1 + statement 3 => why felling the need to repost it?
user202362
Ok, maybe I am just really bored sometimes, I hike solo, in the dark sometimes because it gives me thrill
@SPArchaeologist it explains why I think she did something wrong. Guess @Inf can move this to trash now that it served its purpose and if people here are offended by this.
@ShadowWizard the same could be done with just the link -_-
@SPArchaeologist which is oneboxed
12:29
Guess I'm not used to rooms where any improper word is being offending, so it's also my fault. :)
@chmod711telkitty just for the record, I agree with you. But it all depends on what room you are in, and who are the other people in the room, that's all.
Oh, well, free to do like you wish. I was just suggesting to avoid that. Remember the drama with Bart and that chat banned user?
I'm quite sure you'll get same backfire here in the Tavern if you'll post those things.
2
@chmod711telkitty yes, but you should be polite. treat the chat like talking to your mother; if your mother would find it offensive, don't post it.
@SPArchaeologist actually no, what banned user?
Sep 1 at 16:11, by Bart
It's relevant in the sense that Louis C. K. argues you can use a word in a certain sense without meaning harm. Which however doesn't imply it's appropriate for chat, nor that people won't flag it. @Haney
revenge flag from an user already banned from another chat room.
After Bart used a bad word in a post to actually try to explain him what he did wrong, he proceeded to flag Bart in an attempt to get him banned too.
@Bart Did I remember well?
12:37
@SPArchaeologist hmm... totally missed that. So did Bart end up suspended?
@ShadowWizard In the end the offending user was banned 72 hours and Bart was just warned, but you may want to avoid putting you in the position to be flagged.
Pretty much. Not sure if it was an attempt to get me banned, but rather a user going for the childish "If I can't say it, he can't say it either".
Nope, not suspended @ShadowWizard. If you look at the conversation you'll see I backed off after that.
@SPArchaeologist I am willing to take the risk of being flagged. for all I know, this very message can also be flagged and get me suspended. (same way every post on SE have risk to get downvotes)
@Bart obviously the second but more in a "if I am banned ban him too" or even better "if he isn't banned then unban him"

Just steer clear of the Lounge and you'll be fine....you'll never get the grip of their rules or what is acceptable or not...

lounge is tolerant alright ... there are probably would be 10+ comments with words such as 'd***' or 'c**k' in them. No one gets banned from those (if you are a regular)

Out of curiosity, why does Jon Clements moderate in the Lounge now? Is that something new? I haven't been in touch with most things meta-related for about a year. I know BoltClock hangs out there occasionally, but that's because he likes to, not because he's moderating there.
