12:00 AM
I should go pee now then, I guess...

Five... four...

New UTC day!

confetti

Lights... camera... action!
Nothing yet...

yaaaaay!

12:01 AM
No animuson in the list :P

Happy New Year UTC!

What the heck, I might as well go review some.

@Undo Me wantz! Fkey? :P

hehe
You would need my cookies too
Ugh, the queue is really slow.

@hichris123 if I had no cap, and there were 1000 things to review, this is the sort of thing I would do

12:02 AM
If only I could close vote.

I'm in the list :P
in fact, I'm at the top!

@Flyk I'd do that too. :P

Sorry, @DoorknobofSnow, #3.

Animuson... 1 reviewed.

I'm above animuson!

12:03 AM
(from the start of UTC0)

I did 100 edits in a day to get mortarboard on AU

@MichaelPetrotta ? I see myself at the top

didn't even take all that long

He'll probably be reviewing along and hit about 50 then discover a sock puppet gang in one of the posts and follow that down a hole.

Me is going to answer questions now since I can't partake in this party. :P

Animuson... 4.
@Undo You better review... he's coming after you! :P

Are you guys going to post a new message for every single review I do? Because I think 1,000 "animuson... x" messages would look rather odd.

12:06 AM
I'm up to 17 :P

@hichris123 He'll just do 41 and taunt me with it :P
@animuson Yes. We'll make Manish write a chatbot to do it.

@animuson Chatbot time!

hint: filter "primarily opinion based" :P

I want manish to make me a button in the close queue for one-click agreement with the vote.

@Undo He passed you.

@Undo Would be fun. :P

I hit the max :P

hehe
It will

12:14 AM
tomorrow I'm going to try to set a new 40-reviews record :P but failing an audit disqualifies it!
suprisingly I only saw 1 audit this whole 40 reviews

really, you get 40 per day on SO?

@Flyk That isn't normal?

@Flyk Yeah, the queue's so large you get 40.

review queues are normally 20/day on all other sites

:o Shog stole one of my reviews!

12:17 AM
IIRC you get 40 on any queue with over 50 items.

oh so it's a queue size thing rather than a setting
interesting, TIL

100
reviews today

I wish we had busy review queues on Arqade

12:19 AM
@Flyk It's 100 or more.
@animuson What are you doing posting oneboxes in chat? There's still things in that queue...

Look at all those pretty diamonds in stackoverflow.com/review/close/history

@animuson only one of those thresholds I hit frequently are 20 reviews/day and chat throttling
and the highest I've ever had chat throttling is 19 seconds

Bad Shog! Stop stealing my reviews. >:(

@animuson solution: review quicker

2580 repz... anyone have 400 rep to give me?

12:25 AM
I don't, actually, I have ~150 rep on SO

@animuson funny, that's not supposed to happen... Are you filtering by OT?

@Shog9 Yes.

'k, that's it then
I'll filter to winapi

The review audit message still scares me every time.

@animuson But you can't be review suspended...

@hichris123 Actually he can
But he just goes and removes the suspension.

12:32 AM
He could just unsuspend himself...
So really it doesn't count.

No I mean just the event of it popping up is frightening. Like "ahhh what did I do??"
Even when it's a pass.
It still feels like you broke something.

I get that too :P
it's so... unnatural

I don't even see the message on suggested edit audits.
It's so obvious when you're getting one.
I sort of see it out of the corner of my eye as I click "Next".

Turns out something else was slick too.

did you actually drive into the office?

Yep. Nobody else was there.
On the upside, I got a chance to feel what the antilock brakes in my newish car feel like.

But apparently they didn't work well enough to keep you from driving into the office.

Nope :)

@Flyk I think @MichaelPetrotta still doesn't get it :P

I'm so creative with file names :D

@hichris123: that's depressing.

1:00 AM
@DoorknobofSnow At least you'll know what they are...
I have a habit of naming files random things that make no sense, like "zebra"...
Then later on I think "wtf was this?"

@MichaelPetrotta Yeah... :( I so want to be at 3k so I just don't report the news; I actually do something about it. :P
@animuson What file did I put my server password in? Oh, yeah, it was named zebra. Dumb me.

I once named a file that was used for calculating a leaderboard as "cogen" - still never figured out how I came up with that name.

@animuson "calculation ofleaderboard generator"? :P
(ofleaderboard is obviously one word)

We should get a bunch of moderators to all review at least 41 items today so no regular users appear in the stats. :P

ha!
You would get called so many names on meta...

1:06 AM
@animuson Do you have that many diamonds (excluding SE employees)?

Imagine the names we'd get called if we all reviewed exactly 41.

@animuson Shog passed you up... :P

@hichris123 There are 16 moderators on SO...

@hichris123 No, there are only 16.

It'd be worth it, for the 656 items removed from the queue.

1:08 AM
But then you only need four CMs

20 slots, right?

There's only 15 slots in the stats.

@animuson Because it actually helped. Wasn't there one that complained about mods being able to be above all users on the standings?

let's face it: most of the posts I closed were 6 months to 2 years old. No one's looking at 'em.

I made a bug report yesterday, and it's currently sitting at +2/-2. I'm not sure exactly why it's being downvoted. (Or, specifically, I'm not sure why I received the second downvote after I did my first edit.) Is my bug report unclear or something?
I don't appear to be getting any responses from the downvoters themselves on how I could improve it (or if it needs improvement), so I figured I'd ask here.

@JonathanHobbs needs screenshots + hand-drawn circles
Please refer to the bug tag wiki

2:56 AM
@Shog9 Ta. :)

3:21 AM
@Shog9 I really wish the Close Votes queue differentiated the custom off-topic reasons. Especially for the typo reason - that's not usually immediately obvious since answers are not shown in review. Seeing that someone used the typo reason would spawn more investigation to determine if it's valid. Just seeing "off-topic" doesn't.

animuson♦ 273

Oh, your Stack Overflow profile @DennisMeng. I was thinking "one controversial post you've got there".

4:56 AM
@animuson This could use some polish, but...
/ ==UserScript==
// @name ShowReviewOT
// @version 1.0
// @include http://stackoverflow.com/review/close*
// ==/UserScript==

function with_jquery(f) {
var script = document.createElement("script");
script.type = "text/javascript";
script.textContent = "(" + f.toString() + ")(jQuery)";
document.body.appendChild(script);
};

with_jquery(function ($) {

$(document).ajaxSuccess(function(event, XMLHttpRequest, ajaxOptions)
{
if ( ajaxOptions.url == "/review/next-task" || ajaxOptions.url == "/review/task-reviewed" )

@Shog9 I actually found out that if you click the "(more)" link to expand the instructions, it includes all the close reasons on the post with their descriptions, including the custom off-topic reasons. So I added the custom style .review-more-instructions ul { display: none } to hide the annoying button instructions so it doesn't take up so much space.

ha! That works too

Also, when you pass a review audit, it automatically hides that expanded information when you move on to the next item. ):
Or, maybe more accurate, forgets that you had it expanded.

5:27 AM
That couldn't get any more obvious: stackoverflow.com/review/close/4007073

is this a valid edit? It seems to me to introduce spam, but it was unanimously approved.

It does improve the post, but ...y'know... example.com.

I dispute the rewording is an actual improvement; and the site he links to does exist
I have considered a partial rollback of only the URL, but it seemed not an improvement enough for that.
This one is definitely too minor, right?:

8:35 AM
I concur. Way too minor for that post.

I understand learning a foreign language can be hard (even if it's english), but please use a spell checker when posting in a language you don't know - it helps catching mistakes like "retive" and even identifying text-speak. Most text editors have one, and even a good web browser can do that. — Jan Dvorak 1 min ago
