@Feeds no one-box for pod-cast.
So maybe have one-cast, or pod-box?

@JNat long time no cross site spammer, they appear to have been dormant, but they did spam MSE recently. Thanks!
@Tinkeringbell boo hoo

Hey, I'm only presenting the facts. No need to be mean to facts.

>_>
You mean no mean ?
@ShadowWizardChasingStars I'm not sure that's a spammer
felt almost like someone abusing the site as a pastebin

@Tinkeringbell but you ruined all the fun, plus can't remove my wrong comment now. cries

8:59 AM
Oh sure. I like ruining fun :D
No need to cry, I'm happy now :D

@JourneymanGeek meh, same final result, should be nuked.
(if repeated offense, if not, maybe give some slack? JNat has lots of experience, so I'm not worried. ;))

Not a repeated offence

Not on MSE, but they have more accounts.
@Tinkeringbell I know! :D
@Tinkeringbell your happiness is the sadness of someone else, somewhere.
:P

@ShadowWizardChasingStars That makes me even happier :D

rofl
Your avatar is surely too cute. ;-)

9:10 AM
Where did you get that idea from?

cause you haven't pecked his eyes out yet :D

9:30 AM
Too much effort to bother. Eyes aren't even that tasty.
I'll go for the nuts :P

@Tinkeringbell well, I'm done with having kids, so go ahead, I don't really need them anymore! :P

9:47 AM
Lol. A brave parrot on a mission to control overpopulation... one nut at a time!

@Tinkeringbell That should be 2 nuts - 1 is insufficient for population control :)

Hahaha well one nut at a time, but always immediately followed by another! :P

10:12 AM
@Tinkeringbell let's create the Nation of Nutless People then! :D

@Tinkeringbell Tu quoque, Tinkeringbell, psittacus mi!

@SPArcheon No, nuts. Not cock.

...oookay.

Man, leave it to me to miss out on all the fun
Inhaling chloroform in the lab while people are having fun and saying . . . New things in chat

1:26 PM
@M.A.R. Why weren't you using a fume cupboard?

I'm assuming everyone is as sleep-deprived as I am and thus disinhibited
@DavidPostill there was a lot of chloroform
Well I'm still here, much to the chagrin of certain journeymen here

.... I guess I should be grateful. After the last one, any lame word play Cyno will throw at me won't be as bad by comparison.

2:11 PM
^ gone, but the first one above is still up

Not about the software that powers SE (needs 1 more, been around for awhile now) @rene @Shadow @Mithi @Sonic
and maybe @RyanM if he doesn't mind those pings ^
Annnnd I didnt link the question meta.stackexchange.com/q/387252/622284
Forgive me, not enough caffeine just yet, but I'm working on it

@Spevacus ewwwwwwwwwwwww
vomits
Can't believe such crap was alive for 16 hours.
Honored to be the one deleting it.
!!/caffeine Spe

@ShadowWizardChasingStars No such command 'caffeine'.

:(

2:25 PM
No worries I've just brewed a cup, I'll be fine

yay
Same, just had actual espresso, and cheese cake.

oooo

pppp
hmm this reminds me of what Tink said earlier, though nuts have no pp in them. :D

@Spevacus I'm tempted to undelete that post, upvote the second comment, and delete it again

@tripleee what is "first one above"? Still up?
@JourneymanGeek go ahead, as long as it's below 10 seconds. ;)

2:28 PM
lol
it would be an abuse of my powers

Not really, you don't gain anything from it, so not abuse.

@ShadowWizardChasingStars it would be entirely pointless
and utterly hilarious

@SPArcheon no red button? You would have surely pushed it if it was coming from me... :D

@JourneymanGeek LOL

@Tinkeringbell you mean CoC?
@JourneymanGeek exactly!
eh this appeared to be reasonable question and I even considered upvote, until reading to the end, where OP suggest SE to implement "their own ChatGPT". Stopped reading, and finger auto clicked the downvote. lol
Sure, SE will now spend billions on something they ban. Make so much sense.

2:35 PM
lol
He could be meaning a better recommendation system, as opposed to a ML system that spews plausible word salad seasoned with bulls***

Honestly that part could be edited out since it doesn't really seem to be central to the original question but I don't know if I would do that personally

@Journeyman I noticed that spammers are no longer nuked, at least five since yesterday that I saw, and surely many more. And I'm sure it was different before, I always saw them nuked shortly after the spam was gone. You know anything about this new policy? I really can't see any benefit in leaving them around.

"Has there been any measurable downturn in Stack Exchange traffic (SO or otherwise) since ChatGPT's introduction and rise in popularity?"
Is a perfectly valid and, dare I say, interesting question

@Spevacus hence me asking about from when
@ShadowWizardChasingStars there's no new policy
They might have simply been community nuked and missed

Probably depends on the handling mod OR if they were only handled by spam flags.

2:39 PM
(I uh... was bingewatching Legend of Vox Machina today :D)

Been considering watching that. Pretty good?

@JourneymanGeek hmm, didn't see even one spammer deleted. And some of the spam posts were deleted by mod, so the mod couldn't really "miss" it. (it was deleted with only -1 or -2)

Blame Glorfindel. He's a great scapegoat as the only human moderator.

meh, not really fatal, we can handle the spam again.

Though his humanity is often debated...

2:40 PM
@ShadowWizardChasingStars if you can tattle on em, I can chew on em
@Spevacus hmm, it kinda grew on me

@JourneymanGeek hairs?

I think it only really gets good 4 episodes on

Slow to start, or just takes a second to sorta... Get into it?

the latter

Gotcha

2:42 PM
also most of my 'regular' shows are later in the week :D

@JourneymanGeek well this one is the latest, too lazy to look for the others. ;)

@ShadowWizardChasingStars gone
and no, there's no change in policy
Users like that get nuked

OK, I was afraid there was change, but as @Spe said, probably just each mod acting in different ways.

or mods never seeing it

1 hour later…
@Spevacus I don't know for SO, but I checked the analytics for Android.SE and Anime.SE and there was a dip around December, but already back to normal since January. I guess it's due to festive season instead of ChatGPT. Or Android is too fragmented that even ChatGPT can't answer...

Ha!
Could be

4:52 PM
Indeed.

5:13 PM
@SonictheAnonymousHedgehog thanks for fixing my mistake here. Do you (or anybody else here) happen to know where the canonical/announcement post for hiding low scoring questions from the homepage is? All I can find is questions asking it to be removed or the limit lowered on Meta sites ...

The negative score threshold is -4 or less on Stack Overflow and the new SE2.0 sites. I do not know about Server Fault and Super User (I expect -4), and on Meta it is -8. — Grace Note ♦ Aug 25, 2010 at 19:11

Great! That's definitely authoritative, pity it's in a comment ...
Obviously I didn't read that (linked) question.

Anyone here have Cesar M's email address?
There's a matter on one of my sites that could use a response from Trust & Safety, and they're its head

Isn't that just handled by using the Contact form?

True, but emailing the staff member directly will ensure it gets through to the correct team. Staff have a long backlog of support ticket requests

Yeah, probably because they get emailed directly every time ...

11:14 PM
@SonictheAnonymousHedgehog I have a few folks personal emails and I'd never use them for 'general' site issues.
Lodging a ticket properly is better cause anyone can pick it up
If its a high severity emergency, flag it up for a mod, and ask them if they can do a 'community emergency escalation'

11:38 PM
@JourneymanGeek Not asking for a personal email, but their official SE email.
It's also not a general site issue - otherwise, why would I need to reach out to Trust & Safety?
In short, there's a history of users abusing a specific type of on-topic question to stalk users.
Those questions need to be monitored carefully by Trust & Safety to ensure they're not being used for that purpose. As the thread on their meta says, many users, including local mods, can't easily differentiate between legitimate questions of the type and cases where the author is trying to stalk, whereas Trust & Safety is well-equipped to investigate.
In many cases, they can easily be identified (such as blacked-out people), but in others, they can't be (such as if the person is cropped out or isn't in the shot).
