@M.A.R. thanks for the answer! Making sense it's some radical terrorists, but the volume and lack of evidence points to very strong group, so weird they were able to fly under the radar for so long, and still can.

But... something you said nag me, you claim "something crazy like that wouldn't ever fly here" but.... who exactly will stop them? Iran is already a dictatorship. It's already proven beyond any doubt, countless times, that nothing the people do will ever affect the government.

So if they just want, they can become like the Taliban, and much worse. And nobody will be able to stop them.

Let's just hope it won't get there. :)

@Journeyman mods don't see the spam mask? That's the only reason I can think of for a CM to edit spam posts now on MSE. Anyway, can you please tell them spam is already masked and no need to go and edit the spam posts?

CM isn't new, so it's really odd.

@ShadowWizardChasingStars Mods don't have a spam mask indeed. And these ones are 'special', there was child porn there. We escalated that to T&S and they're now handling it. So no, no telling this CM off.

@Tinkeringbell hmm so in such case, should really redact, not just edit to write "redacted".

@ShadowWizardChasingStars As far as I know, T&S might need some data (or legal does) that might be destroyed by a redaction, so mods have been told not to redact.

Totally need to be hard deleted.

You were warned, and I know that as soon as T&S has done everything needed, those images will be hard-deleted from imgur.

It's a 'foot in the door' tactic. Ask for a small thing first, and whoever pays is probably likely to then respond to a bigger ask too.

Foot-in-the-door (FITD) technique is a compliance tactic that aims at getting a person to agree to a large request by having him or her agree to a modest request first.This technique works by creating a connection between the person asking for a request and the person that is being asked. If a smaller request is granted, then the person who is agreeing feels like they are obligated to keep agreeing to larger requests to stay consistent with the original decision of agreeing. @M.A.R. so far it's true. Riots come and go, people get arrested and killed, and everything goes on as usual after a while.

Sadly, it's now happening here in Israel too.

(So far nobody killed, but it will come to that without any doubt in few weeks.)
