I think the app totally died with Android 12

The SE app? I hope the new OS doesn't kill it. I haven't installed the OS update yet but I kinda need the app to work.

@Catija Another thing someone brought up was letting third party apps tap on/run the thing that sends the notifications server side

but that's beyond my ken.

the update gave me an updated news app, and it has design changes just like the activity page changes

ah, my latest upgrade also moved me from oxygen 11 to 12, which literally went from "best non stock android" to "generic chinese android skin" ._.

Even lost my round icons :(

They sortof went backwards though

they went from a standard 1 column layout to a 2 column layout... on mobile...

with text you're meant to read in each column

I'll probably swap it out for web page links (which wipe out every major OS upgrade for some reason) on my phone but ugh

would be nice if one could create a simple app with login that's nothing more than the inbox

all links open in your selected default browser, etc

Hi. If a meta moderator looks at my activity page: meta.stackexchange.com/users/188189/… and scrolls down to the Accounts section, do you see View all 10 accounts or View all 21 accounts? And do you see my count of hidden accounts on the left hand side?

@RobertLongson as I understand "mod view" of profiles is identical to your own view + mod tools

@JourneymanGeek true but I contend that for me and moderators the total count should be 21 and for poor old Luuklag it shoud be (and is) 10.

i personally find the video format annoying

i browse the site mostly at work, and don't view non-work related videos at work, so in effect i simply never view it

and thus with this new way of presenting previews, i simply never get to preview it
