and if --newtab is a thing that's new.. IE 10's been dead and buried a while. And IE11's basically propped up in bed with strings making the rotten corpse look like its moving....
@AlexisKing bjb said hi here not long ago, in response to my nudge of course... JasonC was around in MSE but didn't respond to my pings... Doorknob is gone, sadly. :(
That is true, though I will admit I am probably unlikely to stick around much without a good banter to give me much reason to, as I don’t have much attachment to SE these days
I’m not sure, honestly… the name doesn’t immediately ring any bells, but it’s been something like six years since I was really active here, and plenty of people changed their names on a semi-regular basis
My life has been rather more eventful, in some ways good and some ways bad… I somehow ended up with a very successful professional career writing Haskell, for one
I have since become a coauthor on two PL publications despite not having an undergraduate degree, much less a masters/PhD, which I’ve been pleased about :)
@ShadowWizardIsVaccinatedV3 A bit, less than WoW, but I'm trying to slowly get a max (or close to max) level Black Mage so that myself and a couple friends can get into lategame content.
I guess I also started regularly blogging, which somehow became reasonably popular (within my niches, at least), and I’ve ended up with a twitter account with a little over 9k people following me (though to be entirely honest I am not sure how/why)
Something I’ve found fun about doing night photography is that it tends to be surprisingly colorful. We’re used to night scenes looking kind of dull because our eyes are less sensitive to color in low light (since we depend more on our rods rather than cones, which are monochromatic). But a camera is no less sensitive to color in low light than it is in bright light, so low-light photos tend to look surprisingly vibrant!
Yes… I’ve only done a little long exposure photography because that would require lugging a tripod everywhere, and I’ve just been walking around (I don’t own a car!). But there are some neat things you can do with it
Can't use userscripts (Tor Browser), but I probably can remove it easily enough in console.
I've been gone for months so it's saddening when I was hoping that SE would have learned a bit by the time I came back. Well, nothing I can do about it, I guess.
Out of curiosity, what kind of problems could even occur due to its existence? It seems to me simple enough to implement that nothing could break by its existence.
