@AlexisKing I really like this one. Sorta spooky. Great composition and lighting :-)

@forestdistrustsStackExchange I think that's just you
@forestdistrustsStackExchange I think the design team prefers the stuck top bar. It's more 'we don't want to maintain both'
It's annoying on mobile imo

> I was going to delete this answer, but now that the pile-on downvoting has brought the tally to -3, I will not. I do not want to earn the "badge of shame" in any community - (comment on deleted answer)
Should users be able to opt out of earning the Peer Pressure badge?
On one hand, it's a consolation prize and an enticement to delete bad-quality content. On the other hand, it publicly identifies one as having deleted downvoted content and I can see why one wouldn't want that.

Better idea: not have the badge in the first place
Badges should encourage positive behaviour on the sites. The only possible way Peer Pressure could meet that would be encouraging users to delete their low-quality content, which they shouldn't do - they should try to fix it instead

Not to mention question bans and how deleting recently-posted questions counts toward them

@cairdcoinheringaahing tbh, that's a noble thing to bring up, but probably not popular.
tho, opt out badges, neh.
Removing the peer pressure badge for something more positive might fly
I'd upvote that. I might even ask a question if no one else cares enough is worried about downvotes

@JourneymanGeek I think that, if any badge would have support for removing it, it'd be Peer Pressure

@cairdcoinheringaahing Folks don't like change :D
Especially when its seen as "touchy feely" change.

And yet, they learn to accept it nonetheless :P

So to get it to be accepted needs uh.... a bit of a deft touch ._.

For example, how to not suggest it

That makes it trickier :D
What makes a new question not a dupe? :D

Q: Should the Disciplined and Peer Pressure badges be (partially) retired?

Sonic the Anonymous HedgehogFor context: the Disciplined and Peer Pressure badges are awarded for deleting one's own content with a score of 3 or higher or -3 or lower respectively. Earlier today, someone posted a comment that they would not delete their answer since it had accumulated a score of -3 and would stand to earn ...

Q: Add positive replacement for Tumbleweed badge

Vadim OvchinnikovI'm happy with retiring Tumbleweed and Reversal badges. Especially I like how Reversal badge was treated. It wasn't just retired: it was replaced by Lifejacket and Lifeboat badges, utilizing the positive effect of Winter Bash, encouraging people to search for hidden gems in questions, improve th...

I'd probably try to tie in the removal of the reversal badge
and encourage a more positive replacement

@JourneymanGeek I think adding that would make my discussion too broad. It can definitely be brought up in an answer, though

lol
I was started on a question
but was gonna do it after I handled another thorny issue :D

@SonictheAnonymousHedgehog +1; I'm less opinionated about Disciplined tbh, to me that encourages the idea that it's ok to delete posts that should be deleted, regardless of whether they're highly upvoted. But I don't mind if it was retired

A crossing guard (North American English), lollipop man/lady (British, Irish, and Australian English), crosswalk attendant (also Australian English), or school road patrol (New Zealand English) is a traffic management personnel who is normally stationed on busy roadways to aid pedestrians. Often associated with elementary school children, crossing guards stop the flow of traffic so pedestrians may cross an intersection. Crossing guards are known by a variety of names, the most widely used in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Australia being "lollipop lady/man", a reference to the large signs used...

@Rob not what I had in mind, but fine by me as well. :D
Here in Israel it's called "Golden Watchers", in free translation. But only because "Gold" which is זהב is acronym for זהירות בדרכים which means Road Safety.
So, no reference at all here to candies of any kind. :/

Rob
It's a sign.

@Journ, that flag of me you acted on, but didn't dismiss, same thing happened about a year ago on the same post if you check the timeline, so there might be more to it. Just noticing now.
