@forestdistrustsStackExchange Yeah - though a custom flag might be useful too

@JourneymanGeek Alright. Post in question:

A: Linear AES : expression of K in AES(P) = AP+K

Daniel ShiuI'm going to do everything bitwise (i.e. over $GF(2)$ as you have specified that $A$ be a $128\times 128$ matrix. It is possible to rework this over $GF(256)$ in the usual AES basis by treating $8\times 8$ matrices as elements of $GF(256)$. I'll build things up to make things fit neatly into the ...

It's certainly a well-written post, but it side-steps actually finding out if OP is asking a homework question (in which case Crypto's current policy is to close it and not answer).
@forestdistrustsStackExchange waaaaaay over my head
Looking at the complexity though - eh, someone who has some idea might be able to figure it out, but maybe the 'partial' answer is simply cause "darn it, I wrote all this and I'm too brainfried to do the less'
It's about viewing AES (the cipher) as a set of linear equations by intentionally crippling the parts of the cipher that provide non-linearity to defend from it. It's math stuff.
@JourneymanGeek Nah, the "partial" answer is because they suspect it's a homework question.
Which irritates me because if I wanted to know the answer, now I'm put in the position of OP holding the information hostage by virtue of the fact that it's homework for them, but not for me. It would be awkward for me to open an intentional duplicate question just because I am not "tainted" by school work. After all, SE is about helping more than just OP.
@forestdistrustsStackExchange I don't know enough math stuff to tell you if its an acceptable level of answer or not ._.
Well it doesn't answer the question, at least. It's informative, of course, but more of a "hint" than an answer. Or at least it answers only 70% of it.
Meh. I'll wait to see what happens.

@JourneymanGeek That happens to me, when I used to spend a week researching and several hours compiling an answer; with almost an hour to write the MathJax, and triple check it - but I don't do that anymore.
Me too. I generally improve my answer incrementally, starting out with one or two paragraphs and turning it into something much larger with equations, graphs, tables...
It's not uncommon for me to have answers with 20 or 30 revisions over a period of days.

@forestdistrustsStackExchange Agreed. It's not bad enough to downvote, and too complete to be NAA; and perhaps a bit short for an upvote - and so it sits. --- Sources: meta.stackexchange.com/a/185074/282094 meta.stackexchange.com/a/180029/282094

In an [MS] link, usually (but not always, for everyone), if the post hasn't been deleted - I checked all the above links and it's no longer present on any of them. Wait until another report comes, click on [MS] and scroll 3/4 down the page.

Kids coming back from school soon, will make soup with Matzah balls, they love it, and still got leftovers of materials from Passover. :D
Matzah balls (Yiddish: קניידלעך‎ kneydlekh pl., singular קניידל kneydl; with numerous other transliterations) or matzo balls are Ashkenazi Jewish soup dumplings made from a mixture of matzah meal, beaten eggs, water, and a fat, such as oil, margarine, or chicken fat. Matzah balls are traditionally served in chicken soup and are a staple food on the Jewish holiday of Passover, though they are not eaten during Passover by those who observe a prohibition on soaking matzah products. The texture of matzah balls may be light or dense, depending on the recipe. Matzah balls made from some recipes float...
@MetaAndrewT. if I'll change to Shadow The Soup Wizard, will you change to Matzah Balls? ;)

Watzah Matzah?
11:19
Yes, it is a plastic kit
how long until somebody tries to eat it and sues?
11:44
America.... less than a day.
But this is Japan, so I hope they will last....
At least a week.
@SPArcheon so Japanese kids stomach is more resistant to plastic?
Those are the survivors:
I made about 20.
My kids eat almost nothing, they're very picky with food, so I consider this a success. :D
@ShadowTheVaccinatedWizard Nope, I was implying that apparently American kids.. are quite adept at eating plastic toys.
@ShadowTheVaccinatedWizard Isn't America/USA one of the few countries that BANNED chocolate surprise eggs?
But yeah, it's really silly to sell such thing.
@SPArcheon yes there was something, and in there people sue over any tiny thing.
11:57
@ShadowTheVaccinatedWizard Have you stopped wearing your mask now you are vaccinated?
@DavidPostill outdoors, yes. Inside closed room with other people we still have to wear a mask.
(And it's not about getting the vaccine personally, the order is global)
12:44
@DavidPostill >_>
@ShadowTheVaccinatedWizard I do the opposite :D
@SPArcheon LOL

@SPArcheon Flack Overstow ver.1.22474487139...
@JourneymanGeek weird, why? The virus spread more easily in closed space...

Machine learning might sound complicated, but with the help of p5.js, we can make interactive visualizations to help wrap our head around these algorithms. In this session, we make a visualization of the popular K-Nearest Neighbor algorithm. Join us as we discuss how this algorithm can be applied to real data and track down bugs…
@Feeds onebox!?
> I have an invisible text and when I click on it I want to change it into text.

@JourneymanGeek oh
@JourneymanGeek oh
:D
@MetaAndrewT. it's random (or race condition? We'll never know.)
More likely race condition, since it's posted in the same instant the blog post is published, sometimes the blog post isn't fully published yet so the onebox fail to fetch the data it needs. </best-guess>
@ShadowTheVaccinatedWizard This StackOverflow questions does not exist.
@SPArcheon yeah wonder who made it, if it's someone private or a company behind it, etc.
@ShadowTheVaccinatedWizard Didn't you check the about page? That was Shog.
Or maybe not and I am pranking you
Trad: check the about page :P
mumble....
there is also an api that generates answers (completely wrong and not relevant ones to be precise) to an existing question
I say we should create a bot that automates posting those answers to the real site...
13:56
@SPA lol good one
@SPArcheon You clearly should be writing papers ....
It worked great for these researchers sneaking in bad commits to linux for science...
14:39
@JourneymanGeek I should be testing games. Not a joke, I am kinda adept at breaking things when I want.
Not a coincidence that the admins of my old UO server gifted me with one of these, recolored and renamed to something like "Legacy of the Bug Finder"
But... after all I was the one tamer that managed to destroy a nice new boss they designed with the sole objective to counter tamers...

@ShadowTheVaccinatedWizard So you used up your turn to accept a vaccine that isn't effective against the varients that are prevalent?
A new site beta started just barely in time for there to not be a 1-year gap between successive betas

@Tin Sorry, I'd like to ask a question. It's been 2 days since the freezing of the Café and I'd like to know if and when the Café will be unfrozen. Thanks!

@TechExpertWizard bothering her every day isn't going to speed things up.
i mean
@Journeyman OK, thanks!
