sigh Sometimes I like a bit of fun on SE.

We hate it
I do agree with Cody, don't answer, at best leave a comment.

8:12 AM
@SonictheCuriouserHedgehog do you know of a duplicate for this question that actually is about the /users reputation league pages? So not about the graph per user, I found plenty of those and offered one.

@Snow I think most of the 'fun' here is banned these days, sorry :(

@rene maybe not a bug but let's call it an manifestation of the phenomena

@rene I can't seem to find one, though I could have sworn there was one. That said, the main question they're asking is about the graph (the part about /users is just the context behind the question), and they indicated that that question addresses theirs.
(i.e. self-closed their question)

Yeah, I agree. Thanks for checking.

8:32 AM
Did I miss a fun?

@Tinkeringbell Yeah. Already deleted it, no problem.

Rob
Bears were offered, but power failure is my call.

@MetaAndrewT. "what is the maximum problems we get while coding?" question popped up. Proved irresistible.

I guess the answer is "getting question banned on SO"

Rob
Power failure prevents coffee too, unless you like instant; with a spoon.

8:38 AM
Someone editing your hosts file to remove Google.

@Snow brain damage, organ failure?

Rob
Automatic weapons fire is bad too, but power failure makes for a small Improvement.

8:59 AM
@Rob you can boil water with gas

Chewing coffee beans works too, in times of hardship.

@Snow too bitter, even for me. My limit is 90%

Even chocolate coated coffee beans?

@Snow oh, that goes, the chocolate coating makes it slip down easily.
I also love to chew whole black pepper grains.

Rob
@ShadowtheHatterWizard Yes, fire can boil water; but won't power most people's computer (yours being the exception).

9:09 AM
@Rob laptop?
Also, this. You're welcome. ;)

Rob
Your in power.

by the power of Greystoke?

@TechExpertWizard yeah, false positives aren't very rare.

Its the double negatives that you shouldn't avoid missing.

9:20 AM
I don't dislike finding ways to avoid not using multiple negatives.

Triple negative is three times not better than double negative.

9:57 AM
@Mithical Poor brain. An entire day of work to go yet, and already broken by a single sentence.

Sorry. Want some glue?

Hope it sticks

@Mithical That would be much appreciated ;)

Well TOO BAD I DON'T HAVE ANY GLUE

I'll go find some myself then.
I have superglue, everything glue, paper glue, kid's glue, hot glue and textile glue lying around somewhere IIRC.
I wonder what kind of glue I should use...

10:26 AM
@Tinkeringbell You don't have any bone glue?

Nope, that's one I still need to add to the collection ;)

Which reminds me - I still need to get my wood glue out and fix a saggy bottom drawer :)
Maybe after I get Rep Hunter. I'm going for that today.

Only today?

@Tinkeringbell anything but the red glue. @Ollie knows what I mean.
:D

@rene I need a non work day have enough time to find enough questions where I can write a good answer. I'm on holiday now till next Tuesday :)

10:37 AM
@DavidPostill Nice, enjoy!
Can't wait till Friday, then I start a week's worth of vacation too... and Stardew Valley just got a major update so all I want to right now is play that...

Rob
10:55 AM
@Tinkeringbell and Dermabond

Never heard of that before...

Rob
@ShadowtheHatterWizard Is that for the saggy bottom drawers?

Don't think it'll have many practical applications here either that superglue already doesn't help with ;)

Rob
Surgical glue, it's used instead of stitches.
But, if you can sew I guess you don't need it.

11:16 AM
Oh, I've heard of Dermabond. I think I used it once.

11:34 AM
Bond. Derma Bond.
@Rob easy fix, make it the underwear drawer.

@ShadowtheHatterWizard now gone

12:26 PM
@rene poor person, think it was just lost soul testing... something. (aka not some trolling, image was innocent aka SFW)

Rob
12:40 PM
@ShadowtheHatterWizard 1000% ham.

Does MSE have a "when should I use custom flags instead of close flags/votes?" question? I'm struggling to find the right keywords, if so (context).

@ShadowtheHatterWizard Yeah, it's a bot anyway and that's probably already good enough for a bot :)

@ShadowtheHatterWizard image-only NAA is one of the most annoying post since I have to scroll more... usually I remove the image and put "Moderator's edit: removed irrelevant image" instead...

@Rob but not spam
Maybe someone who want to be loved?

@RyanM maybe flag /close to have it migrated to MSO. We sure have a fitting dupe there

Rob
12:53 PM
^^^ It's shuttered, many sites have policy against editing; as it upsets flags and requires the moderator to dig through the revision history to check each time a flag was cast, and verify the validity.

@rene turns out it was a VLQ flag

Rob
@ShadowtheHatterWizard Not raw either.

of course, all the posts about the "very low quality" flag are about what a confusing, terrible flag it is

@Rob he's not protected, see what happened to poor guy.
@RyanM low quality posts about low quality flag? ;)

12:59 PM
in SO Close Vote Reviewers on Stack Overflow Chat, Oct 12 at 13:03, by Ryan M
It's time to flag the Very Low Quality flag as Very Low Quality
also relevant :-)

lol
+1
@MetaAndrewT. meh, it wasn't big

@RyanM informally? When there's something more to it than a closure or normal flag will do

@RyanM I wrote an answer

@RyanM I put a question/answer in the comments there
@MetaAndrewT. Delete it as r/a (as gibberish can be flagged as abusive, and a random image is gibberish), and then it'll be spam masked ;)

in SFF community cleanup room on The Stack Exchange Network Chat, Jul 4 '17 at 8:17, by Mithrandir
VLQ is an obsolete flag type that should be removed.

1:10 PM
@Tinkeringbell being a mod on other SE sites... (mods are excepted from the masking)

@rene Sorry, Cody claimed it as his ;)
So no rep for you.
@MetaAndrewT. Yeah, that's true...
I think there's a userscript for that somewhere...

@Tinkeringbell "Mask all dem spamz" userscript?

No idea what it's called and where it's at...

Rob
@ShadowtheHatterWizard It doesn't look like anything happened, we can both see him.

@Tinkeringbell I was in the middle of an edit ...

1:14 PM
@rene ctrl a, ctrl c, switch to SO, hit edit button, ctrl a, ctrl v ;)
Sorry about that though :)

@Rob only due to our super powers

Next feature request: Give me a warning when someone is editing and I want to migrate something ;)

These glasses seem to take control of everything ...

Rob
Your X-ray glasses allow you to see more than I can. 😳

@rene Yeah, they're no fun :P

1:28 PM
@JourneymanGeek Thanks, though I was looking for something to send that poster to :-) all handled now (thanks @Tink!)
Though it turned out that was not actually their problem (unclear question)

Damn VLQ flag...

1:44 PM
whistles, fixes typo in old feature-request to get rid of it

flagged as tl;dr...

@Spevacus Hmm, that's missing the VLQ option for questions. It should be listed as I think this question should be... "the reason I get a declined flag"

lol
