With the current levels of activity and comments, I find the automatic flags, together with community flags, do a well enough job of keeping on top of any problems :)
I enter chat by opening a tab, typing in "tav", scrolling down, and then pressing enter... and then again, with "the re", and then "the met". I then press "rejoin favorite rooms" three times and reload each page :P
Someone left a comment somewhere saying they had a question in here but then deleted the comment so I have no clue who or what. I'm only aware of the comment at all because I have the app.
Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled pepper, if Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers, then where's the peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked!
I'm not the pheasant plucker, I'm the pheasant pluckers' son and I'll keep on plucking pheasants 'til the pheasant plucking's done!
@Catija - since you handle HNQ features, I wonder which way would be more convenient for you. This is about that 2% parameter, you probably saw recent MSE posts about it. First I wanted to make FR to change it, then I got lost in how it works and instead asked for explanation, and some time later I figured it myself and self-answered. Now I'm back to request for changing it but can't make my mind whether it would be better to "convert" my initial question to feature request or post it separately
(I thought your diamond will let you see deleted comment along with the link to Tavern question)
True. But often I have one tab for MSE chat, and one for SE. So it'll reload one room and I can use the rejoin button to get the rest in the sidebar :)
Most rooms in my favorites are useful but not very chatty ;)
@Mithical so uh, I don't think I ever read anywhere that the CEO confirmed laying off the CMs as part of the growth plan, so the whole article sounded like a foreboding of doom for public Q&A
> This funding will allow us to hire additional support for the Community team. We’ll be opening CM roles, a second PM role on the Public Platform team, as well as additional developers and designers to help support the things we need to build.
@M.A.R. they fired people from the cm team to hire additional sales and marketing folks, then put that on hold and retrenched/furlonged people cause of Covid, then suddenly raised more money than they have done in total....
The timing was after they got the new CEO but before they got the CPO in right before the newfound community pivot
I suspect some horse trading and interregnum empire building was involved
@JourneymanGeek I don't see any version of this were this is was not at least in part because the fired CMs were particularly critical of many decisions.
