In short: the comment was a blatant violation of that directive and the Code of Conduct. It was also upvoted, which meant it required more than the normal number of users to flag it to result in deletion.
@SonictheAnonymousHedgehog until (like me) you have a tag on your keychain which you need to open the gate to the office. I have to either split the keychain or remove the key from the slot (which stops the engine, and after the gate opens I have to insert the key again) #firstworldproblems
@Glorfindel Audi came up with a pretty nice way to cater to everyone: for those preferring push-button, one can simply insert an adapter into the key hole which tells the car to check for a proximity signal from the key, and pushing that will start it. Those who prefer traditional key start can just remove it.
@ShadowTheBurningWizard ye oldie "Anti Telkitty" user script. Called that way because it was Telkitty doings that made me do the work to write a simple user script to "disable Zalgo"
@Mithical There's a better explanation than this but the Related links offer an explanation to the 11 month problem - it takes a certain amount of time before it kicks in, and the ambiguity was supposed to have been fixed.
Why has Adamant not received the gold Lifeboat badge for scifi.stackexchange.com/a/224756/4918 ? The criterion has been satisfied for several days now.
Please don't beg for stars in this room, or star random messages. Begging for stars to earn a hat and / or indiscriminately starring messages to give other a hat doesn't really have a place in this room. Please take that behavior elsewhere. Thanks.
(Just a precaution. Since we're coming up on that time.)
Well, for those people not on my Twitter: i.sstatic.net/kooJW.jpg Spamming that everywhere because... I'm quite satisfied with how that one turned out ;)
Uhhmmm. Didn't set a timer. But I started it October '18, after a few rounds I put it away because I had another blanket I should really finish first. Then I picked it up again in January this year, but I had about a six month break over spring/summer where it was just too hot to finish it (You sit under it while working on it, and that was just not doable).
So... I think if I had time, I could do it in under 18 weeks (the pattern is cut up in 18 parts, one part for each week... but I could do e.g. the first 4 in one weekend so...)
When you weave in 3D you can control the density of the fabric and control the motion of the material when the woman walks. You can also make patterns that change over the space, have open weaves over another layer, and several dozen thread changes per one seamless garment. It can take months to design, even an hour or two for the machine to make. --- There are business whom own the $1/2M machine, and you can order a one-off (or several identical).
I have something, clearly, for a long time I just put it down to tiredness from my sleep apnea, but I'm not that tired right now, but I am in lots of pain
Regarding various troubles on SE recently.. Would it be accurate to say that there's a gulf between the needs and desires of the corporation and the needs and desires of the users? Would users benefit from having some kind of constitution and having the owners sign it, too?
@Glorfindel yeah nobody gives somebody else something for free. It's gotta be an exchange. Like, "we'll end the strike if you sign".
@Glorfindel I think if we collaboratively edit a question that has a list of demands.. ya know? So my question becomes.. how many times have we already tried this? ;) I don't really follow MSE much.
@Eleeza Should be fixed. SE added more colors to the editor themselves - there were only 12 colors last year, now there's 25... the script only has 19, though, so you might wanna add some more of your own.
Just updated and...the knitting tool won't load when I click to start knitting... console says "syntax error: private fields are not currently supported", I think there's a problem with my browser
It was meant to give you prev/next buttons while you're on a question page, having come there from a list of questions, so that you can move through the list.
@Eleeza To be honest, you're probably better off not using it, now that there's more colors available natively.
That knitting script is a pain to do any serious debugging on, because it's literally rewriting the code as it gets executed.
Yeah, you're right, my computer is problematic anyways. The script is really cool though, seeing what people have done with it :) good work! And thanks anyways for the help
@djsmiley2kindarkness Still worth talking to a doctor about it. Then they can try and rule out certain possibilities, and narrow down the list. Plus they might ask you questions that help you identify any patterns you wouldn't have noticed on your own.
