There are lots of people who are interested in TempleOS and Evan's questions -- which all seem very reasonable and useful and exactly the type of content I would expect Stack Exchange to want to create -- have collected a bunch of downvotes that don't seem reasonable.
I am not impressed.
You (collective not personal) are living up to his paranoia.
So, here's the odd thing. What Evan's doing is entirely within the rules. Wasting your own time is literally fine, even if its an OS written by someone who... quite literally seems to be a little crazy . And here's the thing. Assuming good intent, and not arguing with Evan about whether this is a waste of his time, free or otherwise... is probably the most productive thing to do. I'm sure that if we engage constructively (or not at all), any issues we have will sort themselves out. — Journeyman Geek ♦Jun 7 at 3:08
Android.SE election might be disappointing... (1 mod step down, thus looking for 2 candidates, 1 invalid nomination removed, 1 valid nomination was self-taken down, currently 0 nominations, 5 days left)
I love the Battery Saver feature. When I'm travelling or in other situations where reliable communication is more important than user experience, I want to always have it enabled, sometimes for days at a time.
However, Android automatically turns it off after the phone has been charged, requiri...
> Apart from Dan, elderatthis has also stepped down. Ibug and Firelord are contenders for sure > Ibug already filled his nomination (deleted for mysterious reason) and answered while Firelord confirmed yesterday in chat
@SonictheAnonymousHedgehog no. Bug report or feature request that have not been fixed/done can't be closed as duplicate (well, they can, but shouldn't) of another feature request or bug report that were marked as completed. This lower the chances of ever fixing that bug or adding that feature to solid 0.
What being asked by @Mad was never done. I didn't look in the dupe answers, it is not relevant.
(since the dupe is marked completed.)
So sorry, but I'm not helping to kill a pending feature request.
@SomethingBadHappened you can't, you were suspended on MSE so you can't take part in any SE mod election for a year. (Since the suspension ended, probably.)
The system will let you, but CM/SE staff will remove it, as they did with Evan and probably others who tried in the past.
@ShadowWizard It's not per se. The proposed target consists of two requests, one of which was completed (hence the entire question being marked completed). The question I linked to in my message is a duplicate of the second request there, which is marked in Taryn's answer to the target as declined.
If my linked question above were to provide new arguments or show awareness of that post, I'd leave it alone, but it doesn't do either, so the request.
@ShadowWizard GoPro has three models of the Hero7 camera: White, Silver, and Black - getting better, in that order. This one's a Black. If I get a white, I'm naming it "palantír".
(I have nyx (its black), phoebe (my netbook) Athena (actually its a name I've recycled thrice) heckate (odd spelling but I mispelled when I built it - its my router) ...
@ShadowWizard I wouldn't on a main Q&A site, but on meta sites, questions can be closed as dupes if the answer to the proposed target answers the proposed dupe, and Taryn's answer to my proposed target answers the question I linked.

This is not a duplicate of How much revenue does Stack Exchange make by auto-inserting affiliate ID into all Amazon links? as that asks about the percent cut of sales made through the affiliate program with Amazon. This question asks about overall revenue instead.
As most of us active here know,...
@Somewhat which is one drop in the ocean compared to the art style regression that seems to be popular in American cartons. Maybe it is just a Carton Network thing, but yet...
hmm... I can star messages in a deleted chat room. Bug?
@Sonic I think you have better chance if you'll post a feature request asking to remove the auto-replace of amazon links, leaving aside any mention of money, and focusing on this being old and probably inefficient feature with lots of bugs. Not sure how much upvotes it will get, but pretty sure it will be received better than your current discussion.
@SonictheAnonymousHedgehog read my comment. Clickbait titles should only be used to make silly jokes or undeserving content enter the HNQ list, never to try to advertise a real problem. It is pretty clear that asking the numbers there isn't the real objective of the question - the real problem is that the url rewriter module is poorly implemented.
Asking how much money the url rewriting generates is probably a provocation in order to implicitly ask if that money is worth the "damage" it generates too.
@Derpy I guess it used to work fine in the beginning, but with time Amazon probably added more kinds of links, and of course nobody on SE is there to change the code, so naturally it starts to fall apart, exactly like the apps do.
@SonictheAnonymousHedgehog But sadly it is also one very nice excuse for stopping reading the question at the title, downvote it and dismiss the discussion before it starts
You should know, you are on meta. What you say is often not very important... it is all about HOW you say it :P
The Power of the Unicorn
It was a sunny day, but the heat did not reach my heart which was clutched with fear and worry.
My best friend, Katrina, disappeared. She should have contacted me by now, sending me a reassurance she is all right, but yet for the last two hours I was just sitting here, ...
Worked so hard on that one, got the swag as result of the silly song instead. lol
@Magisch I think that in 2016 about 15 of the hats where reference to male characters, while only about 2-3 were about female ones... This could work maybe...
@rene Yeah, yet for me the DoD is the same for all stories and includes stuff like 'tests are made', 'tests are done', 'code is written', 'code is peer reviewed', 'code is reworked', 'story meets acceptance criteria' etc...
Is it just me or has Gmail somehow managed to screw up telling you what mail you have (more than usual)? Messages I've read and deleted a few days ago keep coming back into my inbox as unread, and then they disappear again after refreshing a few times, and I have similar problems with new mails.
