@ShadowWizard I was browsing thru the users pages while searching for clues related to the chicken. Then I though I could try and check if any other "system" user existed. I just clicked on the first user that was displayed at the moment and edited the link to check for negative IDs.

That, or I know something about hats you still don't and the link is an elaborate clue.

Q: Why are emoji characters like 👩‍👩‍👧‍👦 treated so strangely in Swift strings?

@AndrewT. much simpler. Only logical conclusion is that the first chicken (the yellow shape) is the system default font. Since the chicken exists as a system font, Firefox uses that version by default. The egg doesn't exist as a system font, so Firefox switches to its own emoji font set. After it does, it applies the custom set to any further emoji its find in the message.

So the real question is: why does Firefox attempt to use the system emoji fonts until forced to fall back to its custom sets instead of just going custom from the start??
