We tried to rename Health.SE, but with no effect. There are so many users coming by asking bad questions with no research effort whatsoever and requesting personal medical advice ("how come if your site's called health that we can't discuss my health and things that are entirely between me and my doctor") because of the site name, but we didn't have an alternative. We came up with MedSci, but it would have changed the scope too much.

@Catija Pings are created for a specific room. Unless it was created for Tavern, you wouldn't get it here.

@ShaWizDowArd If CogSci, which is somewhat a subset of MedSci, made the jump into public beta, I don’t see why MedSci shouldn’t. Oh dear, that’s gonne be fun sorting out which questions go to CogSci and which to MedSci if that ever emerges.

@Narusan A lot of cogsci is "in your head" if you will... even the physical stuff is affecting how you think about things, right? Seems like medsci would be strictly related to physical concerns? Or, considering Robert's comment on my answer to a recent MSE question, just roll them all into one. :P

@Catija Psychology is a part of medicine, so MedicalSciences would include psychology. What about neurology? Where would that go... Haven’t been active on CogSci a lot so I don’t know what their main traffic is.
