ok, what major services would I likely have an account on, if I've been on the web for 14 years now and I probably have done all the geekery ones? Here's the list I have atm:
reddit slashdot twitter facebook gmail youtube yahoo (but who cares about yahoo anymore?) windows live (by the same token as above) github sourceforge code.google codeplex photobucket imgur digg
@MichaelMrozek a ridiculously fast PCI connection. Also, the channels are in serial, so you get x1, x2 (which is two channels instead of one), x4 (four channels), etc. Sometimes you have two x8's which share 1/2 of an x16, so you can either use the x16 or the two x8's
Yeah, I don't think you get any audible alert, since mobile Safari isn't cool enough to have native sound playback support, nor does it have Flash as a fallback for jplayer.

Nothing, really. It has some weird quirks, but my issues with Java come from when the JVM was incredibly slow and buggy compared to just about everything else on the planet.
From what I understand, RIM doesn't say on their website how much they charge for BB App World submissions, but I saw in a book on BB development last week...
@ManjotSingh - Technically, that is correct, but like you said, there are platform differences. It's not always possible to factor out the differences and so mobile developers have an edge.
Make a <form><input type=hidden id=something_special>value</input> ... shopping cart or somesuch ... </form> and then on the server they knew what your shopping cart ID or whatever was.
but it was very snoopable
@TimStone it's the special effects I wrote in jQuery for this room ;)
They happen IRL, I'm using a jQuery plugin for that
@jcolebrand I'm not worried about snooping, I'm trying to figure out a nice way to convert my query string for sorting to something ASP.NET MVC will be able to keep track of the state of.
@ManjotSingh The best you can do, as far as I know, is to put a sticker over it.
makes new project list on whiteboard, now that several are done. Includes new ones, proposals, and the ones that have been procrastinated for this long.
@ManjotSingh I suggest disassembling the computer, replacing the LED backlight with a colored one, and reassembling the computer. However, since that will forever alter the color of your computer screen, rendering it nearly useless, that may be less than optimal. You could try thinking about it and being creative ...
@Moshe if they don't pertain to being done with the projects, stop doing them, strike them off the list, and finish the unfinished ones

It does in fact work, so long as you register a "keypress" in the close input box.
That is, if you paste, that's not a keypress.
So enter a space at the end of the URL after pasting (this won't harm anything) and everything should work as you expect.
I was indeed able to close this question as...
Hahah @ the delay between the test close and the reopen :P
@YiJiang I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
When starting my MacBook, I'm getting flashing '?' mark. I had Win 7 also on it. Now I can see only Windows partition if I hold botton 'C' at start up. I cant reset PRAM also by holding command+option + P + R . I'm not worried about data. I need to do clean installation.
How would I go about streaming audio FROM an iOS device to another device like a Mac or another iOS device? I can only find solutions like AirPlay on Google and nothing about how to do it in your own app. I would assume you would have to go through a server of some kind.
