(Definition) Maid: a female servant. (According to dictionary.com)

user202362
but maid and servant have such a different connotation

user202362
if you say someone is a public servant, you mean that person is a public official

user202362
I wonder if you could be a 'public maid' ... that some what sounds very slutty ...

We're about to failover Stack Overflow (and the entire network) to New York. We'll go read-only for just a bit.

FYI everyone I'm about to do some stuff with Smokey over the next hour or so which might cause it to break temporarily

Chat search seems to be glitching. It's not returning all results, especially recent messages.

see SNAFU above

I know.

user315433
Chat search has always been slow to index recent messages.

2:40 AM
Probably I'm slow, but it's.. interesting to me that Makoto decided to nominate himself on Anime.SE, not SO

The kerning is fine for me.

This is a list of countries and dependencies ranked by human population density and measured by the number of human inhabitants per square kilometer or square mile. == Methodology == The list includes sovereign states and self-governing dependent territories based upon the ISO standard ISO 3166-1. The list also includes but does not rank unrecognized but de facto independent countries. The figures in the following table are based on areas including inland water bodies (lakes, reservoirs, rivers). Figures used in this article are mainly based on the latest censuses and official estimates (...

Macau (China) comes first with 55,001 people/square KM, Portugal is at 100th with 112 people/square KM, Australia is at 233th with 3ppl/square KM

user202362
I wonder leaving to itself, 55001 ppl/sq KM is capable of self sustaining itself ...

user202362
how productive your agriculture must be to sustain a population density like that?

@Mesentery I reported it in Charcoal for you

@rene Thanks, it means I need 300 rep on meta for reporting.

@Mesentery no, you need to be added to the userlist for this room. The 300 rep is just a guideline to prevent inexperienced users to get those privileges. The wiki says 300 rep on one site, which you qualify for.

@Oded if you are on bug duty, something weird with /review reported and if that relies on redis this might be related

@rene there are a lot of things that rely on redis (and no, I am not on bug duty)
But yes, it is very possible these two are linked. Possibly something to do with the data center moves

OK, enjoy your weekend then ;)

I do see things in the review queues now, @rene

@Oded that is true for me as well.
That is what makes it weird
It is almost if they hit another server for /review

Chat search relies on ElasticSearch - which was upgraded, so that's very likely to be it (it might be that it is still indexing chat)
Getting results on that chat link going back to 2014. So - also resolved?

11:02 AM
@Oded yeah, the still indexing was something noticed when it moved to DR, I saw the search becoming closer to today but it looks that particular index is stalled

Oh. newer.

@Oded yeah, it sits at 8 July and that is it
And there were smokey reports after that

Yeah, will see if I can poke at something now.

Ok, be careful, use a stick, not your finger ..

@rene the DR one was autofixed in 10 mins. :\

11:04 AM
@BhargavRao yeah, about that timeframe

I think Nick is to be blamed again.
(as always)

Not sure if chat.se is much bigger then chat.so

A bit bigger. 60 rooms, 41 users on chat.so compared to 67, 51 on chat.se
(alex can give you the perfect stats)

@Mesentery yes both answers by that users are the same and looks like spam. Flagged.

umm... coding problem?

user315433
Interestingly, the use is active on other sites, and has 10 rep on SO.

user315433
But I can't read the Bicycles post as anything but spam.

3:59 PM
After reading the question, then the answer again, I think it's just a lost user... if the link's changed to the Wikipedia, maybe it won't be look too spammy, but still NAA.
What's wrong with HNQ when What's wrong with swimming out far? is swimming out far already on HNQ...

Looks like they threw someone off the balcony, leaving the victim's flip-flops behind, and are celebrating now.

the guy at the back clearly feels a little remorse
