Actually, speaking of the Apple site... @YiJiang, you mentioned that you thought someone had reported the 404 page being hard to read, do you know if anyone said anything about the chat ads? I find the font colour a bit light, personally.
It'd also lower the quality (or quantity, if students rely on it then fail exams) of all future graduates so that I may be more employable the rest of my life!
You'll just give up on hiring new graduates entirely, which means they won't be able to get experience to put on a resume, which means they'll never be hired. Resulting in you hiring me instead.
This proposal is such a win/lose for me/everyone else. Yet it should gain support from the tens of thousands of CS students that want their homework done for them!

Why is there a limit of three commitments? The problem with this is that some sites just don't get out of commitment phase. Perhaps there should be a limit to the number of betas, not commitments, like this you can help a sit hit beta and then if you have fulfilled your commitment, you can then drop out for another one.
@waffles points at image above, louder this timeUm.......
Ah, I caught a glimpse of the magnificent pending suggested edits <del>beast</del> notification bubble. You know, if it's going to be empty most of the time, then at least remove the extra separator there, no?
@RebeccaChernoff Yeah, I'm not sure. The only other time I've come across a pending edit was on SO, where I can review it, so I obviously do get that link there.
Some time before I could retag questions and could not edit messages. Now I can edit mesages and tags (edits needs review. So I have lost the privilege to retag question without review. Is this bug or feature?
@RebeccaChernoff The UI of the browser itself is called Chrome. Google wanted Chrome (the browser) to get rid of as much as possible the browser chrome (the UI), so they named it that

Grr... fingers slipped and I upvoted a comment I wanted to flag. I know that it's rare enough that the [feature-req] for removing comment upvotes will never go through, but it's still hugely annoying and frustrating when this happens
I just attempted to fix a typo on a question on cooking.stackexchange.com and saw this

Jiǎozi 餃子 or 饺子 (Chinese transliteration), gyōza (Japanese transliteration), Mo:Mo: or Momocha म:म: or ममचा (Nepali transliteration), or pot sticker is a Chinese dumpling widely spread to Japan, Eastern and Western Asia.
Jiaozi typically consist of a ground meat and/or vegetable filling wrapped into a thinly rolled piece of dough, which is then sealed by pressing the edges together or by crimping. Jiaozi should not be confused with wonton: jiaozi have a thicker, chewier skin and a flatter, more oblate, double-saucer like shape (similar in shape to ravioli), and are usually eaten wit...
@Benjol It is said that if do a @mention at exactly the right time, you can catch the coming and going of the Pekkabird. Alternatively, shout loudly for him until he notices.
It has long been established that moderation is a volunteer activity; they can come and go as they please. Life happens and sometimes work and family take precedence. But there are a limited number of moderators and, if moderators are not "moderating", the site can suffer. What should be our poli...
@YiJiang - It wasn't made public, and it was something that affected me at the time. I've kept quiet about it, but it's water under the bridge and I only mention as a lesson to whoever gets elected as a moderator this year.
@tombull89 - don't know whether it's still the same now, but back then, flags where you typed in your complaint revealed the account of the user raising the flag.
@tombull89 - anyway water under the bridge. I wouldn't have a problem with him coming back provided he'd learned that lesson. He was otherwise not a bad mod, even though it ticked me off at the time.
I absolutely love chat and want to extend a huge thanks and token of appreciation, respect and awe-of-coding skill to Balpha, Marc Gravell, and the rest of the team who built it (sorry I don't know the names of everyone who was involved!!)
I look forward to seeing chat launch on StackOverflow, a...

@GeorgeStocker, I'd say the opposite, I think no-one should get rep, it would make sooo many things simpler... for a start, >2k would be able to approve without a second opinion
@Benjol You can't correct only typos, unless there's a lot of them. Generally if you really want to see 'lose' instead of 'loose', then start rewriting the post. :-)
@Benjol Editing is a valuable endeavor, and is often the difference between a question asker getting an answer or getting downvoted; to not reward it is silly.
If the Egyptian army is so powerful, why are they firing shots in the air? Kill the side you disagree with and move on. It's not like theyre purporting to be a democracy. Besides, it doesn't need to be a killing. Just get the army between he two sides and push them back.
