Oh right, terminal prompts.
I think from now on a regex should be required in every m[ae]ssage, and the reader has to pick exactly one match.
@JasonC OK. Could you (not blow up Earth|pass me that fire extinguisher|watch as the hilarity begins)?

@Rememberme What'd you say right after this? You were suspended for 30 minutes for it
@Andy you're a mod, you can look
That suspension looks like it ends in less than 10 minutes
17:39
Ah good find. I was looking around for some hints.
@Undo Yes, I know. I want him to realize what he said. It was a rhetorical question
oh, okay :P
I forgot to add the rhetorical markup. Entirely my fault.
@Rememberme In that case, just learn from it and continue chatting respectfully once you can chat again. I recommend not complaining about it, just look at it as a learning experience. When you're in somebody else's house, you follow their rules. :)
I'm kind of disappointed, I was genuinely hoping that my edit at meta.stackexchange.com/questions/256580 would save the guy a few downvotes (not that he didn't deserve them). Guess that post is doomed. Either that or I accidentally made it worse somehow.
17:48

Admit it everyone - you clicked that link, and when it was over, you watched it again.
@Rememberme, your ban has expired. See @JasonC's post for some good advice before rejoining that room
@ASCIIThenANSI I'll admit to that
@Andy We need a tag, for when posts like that happen.

17:51
The wiki excerpt has to be a link to that youtube video
So this [status-does-not-work]
@JasonC The tag wiki would read something like:
Ah ha!
> The [status-gir] tag is for when posts are, well, doomed.
The word 'doomed' is a link to the video
Also, if at any point one of your posts receives , all of your posts automatically receive that tag from then on.

@LynnCrumbling I think it can be a valid answer without contact info. Short, but seems to solve the problem.
Spam is more for unwarranted promotion of a product.
I don't think that one is NAA. Maybe not a great A, but an A nonetheless.

@JonasCz well, letting it sit in the queue like that is also not worth it, and I find personally thanks in advance a major no-no so if a user is removing that kudos from me.
But everyone is free to feel differently about that
I don't really consider it a "major no-no", but fair enough.

Is there a question?
no, only a mark

Does bounty trading seem like an abuse of the reputation system?
user259867
@TravisJ It does to me.
It seems to be happening here: meta.stackexchange.com/q/239706/178816
user259867
Hm, it's the crazy world of meta. If this gets annoying, a mod should cancel the bounty without refund. Is this possible, @hichris123?
22:37
I don't think it really matters which exchange it is, it is a bad precedence to set. Basically it allows a post to be placed on the featured list for free, or at least for the one time cost of reputation (even if it were 50) - indefinitely.
bjbotling is running
user259867
It wouldn't work with 50, because subsequent bounties on the same post must be at least the double of the previous (or 500, whichever is smaller). This is why they are trading 500 rep bounties.
