snakes and other reptiles are not, and thus take on the temperature of their environment

they can regulate this slightly by picking out a particularly warm or cold spot

In general this means that reptiles work better in warmer climates, since this gives them a wider range to chose from, but it's not exclusively true. Look for example at the range of the Vipera berus. It lives pretty far up north in Scandinavia. Similar examples can be found for the American continent.

The point is though, they also need to be able to cool down if it's too warm

I was looking at this question on SciFi - Are the pipes in the Mario series made by Mario as tunnel entries to infiltrate Bowser's kingdom or are they a normalcy?

Someone mentioned abandoned concrete pipes in Japan open lots that kids usually use as play grounds to be a possible source of inspiration.

So, I though of Doraemon...

for whatever reason there's a bit of an overlap in anime across sci-fi and movies if the question comes at certain angles, it can be valid on either of them

I can't say exactly what benefits there are to not having an account on a site, but I think it has to do with privacy mostly

I got maybe 40 coz I did some suggested edits and stuff on most of them

on some sites I don't have accounts still coz it's just so not my area of expertise

it was suggested multiple time that there should be just a "network account" and that privileges should be split in two categories: network wide privileges that are granted by meeting some basic requirement on any site (example: flag spam / rude comments etc) and some knowledge-field specific ones that require local rep.

So, for example to close a question on Anime you would need Anime rep but other operations would be possible due to having enough rep on any site.

This is partially offset by the 101 rep bonus, but that is just a workaround since there are ways to lose it - for example if you bounty that rep you lose the privileges it granted.

More likely than not, a bunch of people saw stackoverflow.blog/2020/01/27/blog-contributor-guidelines and decided to submit articles, since having published articles looks good on your LinkedIn. It's not surprising that people who write similarly to existing contributors are more likely to have their content chosen.
