Congrats @JourneymanGeek !

Or Vazhtthukkal!

@JourneymanGeek I'm not sure if you already have it but the chat move /clean up tool is here

ah. Installed. Let me figure out how it works ;p

@JourneymanGeek you get a clean link next to leave | room | info inder the room tags
I've added you as RO to the chimney as well

I guess that works. cool

7:10 AM
awesome

Hello everyone! Can you help me find an answer with the following criteria?
1. Accepted; 2. Has a score of exactly 3; 3. Awarded with a bounty of exactly +50.
Oh, yes, it must be on a main site, not a meta (or simple excluding MSE because other metas don't have bounties)

@rene good!
@iDebug hehe, well @rene is the SEDE guru here...

Solving a small problem with complicated methods? Lol I believe it's not necessary.
I think I want to change my question: Is there a search specifier for "bountyawarded" like "accepted:1 score:3"?

7:26 AM
@iDebug nope
Only SEDE can help, or browsing through the list of all accepted answers with score of 3 and look for one with bounty.
e.g. on MSE 4731 sucn answers
(no way to tell in search results if there is bounty or not)
oh no.... they made the left logo link to stackexchange.com again......
Guess it will now get thousands more visits than usual.
(Got 10 from me already in few minutes)

My God! Do I have to go through thousands of pages?

;p
@ShaWizDowArd lots of people were complaining about it doing nothing. Now they can complain to it linking to the front page....

@ShaWizDowArd Haha. 5 from me already after you posted the message.

@iDebug yes

@iDebug less on smaller sites, just copy&paste the search criteria

7:31 AM
anyone went through the linked question in this one

@JourneymanGeek yup
@Sinister lol
What are you doing here? @Sin
(i.e. you're rarely here and suddenly pop up ;))
@redhand not me. Why should I?
It's a useless rant.

Haha. I'm lurking into chat what's happening.

@ShaWizDowArd I mean the original question in islam.se

Even if he's correct and they made mistake closing it, it's off topic on MSE and honestly I don't care.

@iDebug here you are for one site: data.stackexchange.com/stackoverflow/query/737944 if you integrate into my multi-db template you're done

7:33 AM
He already sent contact form. We can't really help even if we wanted.

@redhand It's too broad anyway. He is posting a challenge on the site which is off-topic for SE sites.

@redhand I know.

@redhand and even on meta, he wants affermation rather than an answer.
Complaining about moderation that way rarely ends well
Main meta works well for networkwide policy, not per site policy

That may be a problem with religious se sites. They may close some questions that questioning their religious views and beliefs.
I agree that it is off topic in mse

@ShaWizDowArd I used to visit when I needed help. Now, I'm thinking of visiting on regular basis.

7:37 AM
Which is a different issue, but yeah, something they need to deal with.
BUT, even if that question were within the community accepted scope of the site, its too broad

Thanks @rene I've already found one. SEDE is a really powerful utility.

@redhand If the OP posted one or two questions, then it would have stay opened.

1 message moved to Chimney
hah. I'll let it gather up a bit next time ;)
@Sinister or get closed for other reasons ;p

Why they changed the wording from Developer Jobs to Browser Jobs recently?

One of the things I find people find hard to get, but is critical for being part of a community, is actually getting to know what the community is fine with.
@redhand whut?

7:41 AM
@JourneymanGeek Well, that's different issue. ;)

@Sinister and would get complained about anyway

@Sinister good!
Just hope you're not a Sinner, @Sin ;)

If nothing else, the few times I've been unhappy with a mod decision, I've just talked to them directly (or on meta) and had an acceptable resolution
@redhand hm, cause everyone on SO is necessarily a dev?

@JourneymanGeek yup
even testers have to write code to test

7:42 AM
(also opens up the option for other sites to have job listings)
Not that there's any plans mentioned so far anywhere, so, more likely the former ;p

@redhand it's A/B test, I still see Developer Jobs

(also browser jobs would be odd)
Is this jobs involving browsers? (use or development?) Jobs involving browsing?

(or you have some fancy script doing those things, @red)

@Sha No, I'm not. I'm a left handed person. :) So, chose that name.

@Sinister I'm also left handed.. but how is it related? :)

7:44 AM
@ShaWizDowArd sinister means left handed in latin

Thanks for the coffee. @Smokey and Sha, I wanted more sugar.

@JourneymanGeek really?? lol

@ShaWizDowArd Gives High five

Q: How did "sinister", the Latin word for "left-handed", get its current meaning?

DanielSinister is the Latin word for left-handed. What evolution of meaning turned left-handed into evil and threatening?

7:46 AM
Actually I dropped my sugar consumption in hot drinks by 80% about a year ago. From 2 spoons, it's now something like 1/4 spoon. @Sin :)
I make up for it by eating sweets though. :/
pets belly

belly pets back
When wife was pregnant, we compared size. (of belly) :P

Hahaha

@ShaWizDowArd you never lost, did you? ;p

Well, I got kind of beer belly, just without beer.... :D

7:49 AM
you're sweet ...

Well, you are what you eat...

eating hot pepper

8:00 AM
@SmokeDetector did the question worth keeping?
it may suit on softwarerecs

@redhand too old

hmm
Jeff have to time travel to 2009 and create softwarerecs along with server fault

hah
SR was something I never really expected to see ;p
and only half expected to survive
(naturally, I volunteered to be a mod pro tem)

Hmm.. why flaggers are anonymous, but (close/delete) voters are not? This is based on a certain site where a kind of question is already deemed on-topic by community, but some certain users don't think so (or just haven't read the meta post), and thus flag it off-topic. Is it because "flag to close" doesn't have bigger impact than the "close vote" itself, or...? I'm thinking of flag abuser too...

well, flags arn't totally anonymous - mods can see them
and too many bad flags = flag bans

I see, that's reassuring, thanks for the mod insight.

and to me, flag to close is kind of the middle ground. (especially with queues)
It lets newer users get a taste of metamoderation, without actual concequence

grr... "flag to close" is impossible for those who have "close vote" privilege -_-

lol
Back when I first got VTC it wasn't
had a mod remind me about that
damn, that's been a while

why is the "moderators" tab empty for MSE? meta.stackexchange.com/users?tab=moderators

it is status bydesign
and asked a long time ago

NVZ
can you point me to a related mse post about it?

Q: Meta's moderators are very shy

Monica CellioPost-split, Meta's moderators are (we've been told) the CMs and maybe a few other employees. And, sure enough, those folks have diamonds. However, something's missing: Where are all the moderators?? Also, while I'm here, see the underlined text -- I know it's boilerplate, but since Meta doe...

NVZ
thanks.

@NVZ there you go
not i . redhand

4:17 PM
looks like I lost some accounts
previously when checking my flag info using the global flag summary us, it shows 105 accounts but now it showing only 72

lovely scripting attack ....

Nice try
Wasn't it a couple of years ago that someone actually made an alert work in the site?

I don't recall. it is bound to happen one day ...
@Bart I've gone over malicious posts and although entertaining, not something that jumps at me for an attack vector.

Myeah, not 100% sure it was here. I seem to recall it was, but then again I'm getting old

Yeah, we're getting old....

Jeff got into a Twitter argument about racism and such. Outcome: twitter.com/codinghorror

@Desire Bad link? Or is that a joke?

user315433
Not a joke, and this is where his Twitter account used to be.

Oh. I didn't know his Twitter handle.

Flagged the edit troll of MSE.
Editing http to https in the title is really beyond any edge and just abuse of the edit power.
Feel bad I gave that user the benefit of the doubt before... buh. Useless troll. </rant>
whoa... 10 years of activity, lost. And he was active on twitter.
231k followers... wow
@Desire can a deleted account be restored? Guess @Jeff might be back after cooling down.
What was the argument about? Who was involved?
@Bart I'm older!
@Bart yes I remember it. Think some really rare markdown bug abused in some way.

@ShaWizDowArd The resolution seemed to be that Stack Overflow is a Nazi site because Jeff founded it, so any decent person must delete their SO account.

@Desire huh. Didn't imagine Jeff would give up that easily though.... unless someone really "important" was the accuser?

The twitter community ...

9:25 PM
Well his blog is silent...

Turns out it is much easier to get your insults across without that 140 chars limits ...

@rene in reply to comment:

...I've used that "move answer" tool more today than in my entire time with the company prior to today.
Some fancy tool @Shog got his hands on, to move answers. :)

What?

But it looks like those answers are moved to trash then?

@Shog9 @rene wondered how you move the sandbox answers without leaving a trace.
@rene archive, not trash.

@ShaWizDowArd but moving suggests they went somewhere else. Where is that magic place?

Q: Sandbox archive

CommunityThis post exists purely to house answers formerly attached to the formatting sandbox. You can safely ignore it.

It's linked in the original sandbox
(So assumed you noticed it before :))
It's a good way to test how strong is your mobile device.... guess most will crash when opening that via app or browser. :D

10:35 PM
@ShaWizDowArd Mmm, ok I see

@rene glad to see you see!
and with that, off to shower and bed. :)

@ShaWizDowArd get wet!
without context that might sound weird ....
