Traditionally, we would post a sample ad with the site's twitter, but unfortunately Puzzling does not have a twitter account. Here's an example of one, though. — Grace Note ♦ 6 hours ago
So now we have it, the sites graduating these days are too new to have a Twitter bot.
Any idea for a sample community ad applicable to every site?
I can think of one: "visit meta". At least one site actually runs it...
The "x bounties currently available worth y rep" one would work on some sites, not all though.
... yes, it's Chemistry

@hichris123 It's also a 3rd party app, not the best for a demo of what ads are.
True... hold on, since when are suggested edits allowed on a per-site meta?
Oh, must be only for community ads posts?
Ah, CW, of course.

So my skewl district is starting to use this new system next year called schoology. It's kinda like a Facebook clone, but also stores are grades and stuff.
Some problems:
It's like CMS but with L instead of C.
1. There really isn't a permissions system. I can view everything, including teacher conversations and lesson plans. I clicked a teacher's profile and saw their personal phone number, email address, and physical home address.
2. There is SSL, but it isn't used by default. Not for logins. Not for showing grades.
2:29 PM
At least it isn't blackboard
Blackboard leaked less info than this.
Every time I try to view my grades in Blackboard I get a Java exception about converting a long to an int
LMSes are weird
I can get infinite time by disabling ajax on a certain URL
3. A lot of the stuff on it is just meta discussion on how to use it. Even more horrifyingly, the teachers try to use memes.
2:31 PM
@Quill Your scores are too damn high.
> Grammer
@Bookend Not like that, they measure points in .5 increments: so 1.5 obviously has issues
Second part of #3 is a problem between some keyboards and chairs.
it's usually either a lot of LQ meta discussion, forced system training, or no one uses the features
Heh, apparently my school just broke powerschool too. It's showing the wrong classes for many students.
I don't have permission to view my GPA anymore. But I can update immunization records for the district still.
