@hichris123 Yep. \baselineskip7mm and \documentclass[12pt]{..} would be the first things to try.

@Fundamental I have to use 12 pt font & Times New Roman, single spaced.
what are you thinking you are using? Word 97?
12:17 AM
It's like the font of every educational paper. :/
I never used Times New Roman in LaTeX... stayed with default Computer Modern for ~10 years, before mostly switching to Palatino (\usepackage{mathpazo}).
I personally don't like CM

12:46 AM
... I got a low-quality meta post in my honor.
@Undo Hey, you can't beat lorem ipsum.
@SuperScript IMO it's fine
@hichris123 Yeah you can
Has this already been asked on MSO, or should I ask?
@Undo Okay, yeah, Flack Overstow is pretty funny.
@SuperScript if that one liner solves the issue, that is fine. But I wouldn't leave a guess answer like that. Also, if you read any other answers that come in, and want to use what they said in their answer, make sure to credit them. Otherwise it will look very shady and would hopefully lead to account suspension.

Yeah. I see ~100 of that every day. Already downclosed.
3:09 AM
@Fundamental Downclosed. That's an interesting verb.
@Fundamental "Downclosed" seems to roll off the tongue better than downclosevote.
@Doorknob better that upreopened
Let's see: so far I cast 15498 downvotes and 9381 closevotes. But moving forward, downvotes grow by 40/day while closevotes by 50/day. So... in 611 days the two totals should be about equal, around 40000.
Unless you go on vacation
To go on vacation, I'd need to write a downclosing bot first.
3:17 AM
that would be complicated
@Frank no actually, you just need a regex
No it wouldn't. Just automatically cast closevotes and downvotes on 50% of all new questions on math.SE.
@Braiam but it would have to choose legit questions/answers
I already have a filter with pretty good accuracy rate, based on keywords, current score, and OP's rep.
@Fundamental not infallible.

When was the last time SE shut down a public beta?
When I first reached 20k:
3:32 AM
@Fundamental mmm, trying to think.
@Frank You increased browser zoom... eyesight going?
they shut relationships down.. and arduino.. I'm sure there is/was something between that.
OSes maybe? Something like that.
That was ages ago. OS sounds closer to now.
I have trouble keeping up with my own site, much less the network ;P
But that was private beta. Actually, I think Home Automation was the most recent private beta shut down.
3:34 AM
But public... been a while.
ahh, yes. That sounds right.
Oh you asked public.. facepalm.

@ɥʇǝS Hover over "private beta start" in recent proposals, such as coffee. It's Tuesday 19:00 UTC.
@Frank API simply omits the time, I think.
why did it cut the link
well well, so it is.

@Frank So that the SE HQ people are awake. It's the afternoon in the U.S.

3:42 AM
Fundamental is the ultimate SE knowledge engine
yeah, I don't think 19:00 is accurate

And Data Science was an hour or two later than that.
huh, exactly 19:00. well then.
maybe it goes live after it actually "starts"?

Yes, it seems she gets #1 in all recent betas.
Just make a bot, @Doorknob. That's what a programmer would do!
@hichris123 I tried. CAPTCHAs :(
(I literally made a bot that loads up the A51 page, clicks the "visit" button, creates an account, and submits the /questions/ask form)
4:06 AM
... how often were you hitting the site? o.o
it was only ~5 page loads per run. I guess SE is really good at detecting bots
I never encounter SE CAPTCHA's, except for on SEDE.
Yup, me too
@Doorknob Were they all in rapid succession? How often was a run?
@hichris123 I only added a sleep between them after about 5 test runs, so that might have been part of the problem. I only tested about 10 times, and each test had about 4 page loads.
maybe I should just try it now and see if it works.
Meh, I'll just post manually during lunch. :P

That says that the person who submitted the edit shouldn't have done so, but then once that's been done, I don't know if there's much reason to reject it, besides... deterring that person from making those sorts of edits in the future... ?.
