We can close it as "can no longer be reproduced" @TGMCians

@TGMCians oh, this one? As nobody else seems to have it, just delete
Feel bit bad as I encouraged you to post it :(

yup this one

Just delete and mourn the lost 25 rep

Oh no

lol

@telkitty.exe An Unicorn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Bart Yup go for that if you can

Just add a little update to it saying that the problem seems to have disappeared. Then my vote won't come out of the blue

okay fine

20% done, @TGMCians

@telkitty.exe Also, does the above imply that you are Fiona?

2:05 PM
@Bart done
see there

Voted

Are you guys voting it to close ?

@TGMCians better edit it into the question itself, comments are temporary

Oh it would be good if I write in answer, right ?

@TGMCians Also an option, but in case of bug reports... well, not sure.

2:08 PM
Okay, writing in answer and will accept it
done , thnx guys to discuss on this

Any time, @TGM! :D

:)

2:32 PM
He's editing his posts to be just ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Bill the Lizard is at it as well...

I saw.
I'm just constantly refreshing stackoverflow.com/users/2977294/…
I'm not sure if this edit should have been approved: stackoverflow.com/review/suggested-edits/4375312

@TheGuywithTheHat yes, it might be the same as posting password in public

@ShadowWizard Okay. I think I've become too used to "never change code"

2:55 PM
@TheGuywithTheHat re the vandalizer, he seems to stop for now probably understood he can't win :)

I guess a lock and two comments were enough of a message

Hopefully

Oh, and he unaccepted the answer here. Pretty childish, I'd say!
At least he's not oscillating...

@Bart until he realize that he may just delete the questions. Not that it would stop an undelete... but still an option.

Can't he just flag for deletion at this point though, since there are answers?

2:58 PM
Then the answer shouldn't have a positive score either @SPArchaeologist

@Andy most got answers with 0 score so he can delete on his own

@Andy No mod is going to delete it
Anyway, a couple of answers were deserving of some upvotes.

Amazing what people do when angry
@Andy looks like he took your advice :)

3:14 PM
Though nothing stands out as a trigger @ShadowWizard. Ah well. He has a badge for the first flag now, so I guess he contacted a mod. Let them handle it. :)

Main chat <Lounge> is seeing a lot of flags - I don't know if a mod wants to step in.

C++ Lounge? Always fun over there.

sure is. (I think they've flagged like a dozen or so messages in the last half hour )

Given their new name I'm very tempted to discuss Cricket.

"Lounge<Not Cricket>" LMAO
I would flag the name if I could....
sigh. Can't be more trivial than that.

3:29 PM
@ShadowWizard Michael yesterday proposed that we change the name of this boar to Tavern for Everypony. Could be an idea

Sigh, this is turning out to be quite the clusterf*ck stackoverflow.com/posts/22509985/revisions

@Michael: it's an artifact of the [subjective] removal. A number of people still go through it periodically and retag / close / delete as-needed. I suspect it'll be blacklisted eventually... — Shog9 ♦ Aug 12 '10 at 22:41
...and guess who finally blacklisted it ;-)

@Bart yeah... I'd just silently walk away after downvoting, he clearly can't or won't explain what he really wants.

@Shog9, oddly enough...you

@SPArchaeologist I would prefer "Unicorn Hall", Tavern is too... real!

3:43 PM
I agree with Tavern for Everypony

@SuhosinPony sure, but you're biased being a Pony yourself ;)

class Unicorn extends Pony so I am typeof(Pony) yes.

3:57 PM
New release from Tycho!

Nice @GnomeSlice

Well, the first 3 minutes so far at least. :D

@ShadowWizard Pinkie's Sugar Corner would be better?

or should I shut up, pack my sh** and leave?

4:02 PM
@mehow totally up to you :)

@ShadowWizard sorry, even for me, 5am is a bit unusual to be up at. :) do you still need something?

@AnnaLear lol, I totally forget those things! Anyway balpha turned up and helped. :)
(It was about AdBlocker blocking the new sprites image)

@ShadowWizard yes the leaving is... but what about answering unclear questions?

@mehow people are free to take a guess, if their answer is useful, even if not directly to the OP, then why not?
Totally off topic questions are different issue though, answering them is just feeding the trolls

agreed, but since I disagree and potentially it's me who downvoted just leaving a comment makes you a community enemy
i thought the idea was to upvote good answers and downvote bad answers.. so why do people make you feel bad for downvoting something you think is wrong..
agreed with what you said, and disagreed with the linked answers
*

4:09 PM
@mehow well, it's hard to accept criticism most people will turn defensive even when you try to explain.

ahh..

"Based on my understanding, the equivalent of System.ComponentModel.LicenseProvider class for the assembly is the assembly signing."
ARGH
ok, add go4answers to blacklist.
.... what is the point of the licensemanagerattribute if you still have to call .validate by hand?
speaking of reviews... one reviewer rejected my attempt to savage a link only answer that now pointed to a deleted question :P

4:39 PM
Savage or salvage @SPArchaeologist?

1 hour later…
6:34 PM
Is there a timeline for answers like the timeline for questions?

6:46 PM
Going around savaging questions could get you suspended, @Bart.
@ProgramFOX I think the timeline feature includes information about the question and its answers?

Tell that to @SPArchaeologist, @jadarnel27

@jadarnel27 Ah yes, I see. Thank you!

No problem!

7:03 PM
@Bart I can't be bothered to type that many letters on my phone.
From now on I will send all messages for SP-whatever-guy through you.

Fair enough @jadarnel27. Hey @SPArchaeologist, jadarnel27 says you suck!
Just the messenger here ...

Well...I definitely should have seen that coming.

P.s. @jadarnel27, in the chat on your phone? Are you that addicted?

7:18 PM
@bart Hey now. Jadarnel just likes chat. A lot.

@Bart While I am at work, I choose to only visit chat on my mobile browser. As a way to sort of limit my time wasting =P

@jadarnel27 aren't you responsible? :)

I would be more accurate to say that I just know how irresponsible I am, and I try to correct for that =)

7:44 PM
This is turning into a total wreck: stackoverflow.com/questions/22516409/…

@jadarnel Just type "@spa" and it'll still ping him. :-P

@BlueIce Are those answers even correct? Is that even defined behaviour in Java?

@rene Close Vote meetup today?

@Bart Some of them are correct, but two of the deleted ones were flat-out wrong. It is defined behavior, though.

7:59 PM
Okay, I'm not a Java programmer.

@jadarnel27: oh, you play music?

@LaszloPapp I totally just saw that and thought jadarnel was talking to himself (I thought your message was his reply to himself). :D

perhaps you need some sleep? :-)

Possibly. :P

8:21 PM
Oh, @Doorknob. I know how the chat works =P
Thank you, though =)

Hi guys
I'd like to ask a question but I don't know where is the best place
Try here

what question?

Is it possible to see how much reputation still I miss to finish an automatic question ban?
(I'm question banned on Programmer section)
@LaszloPapp

AFAIK, the algorithm is intentionally not revealed.

Ah, ok, so I should only continue to earn reputation?
(why intentionally?)

8:25 PM
Because we don't want users to balance on the edge of a ban intentionally

@Laszlo I do play music. You can find my CD linked in my profile =) I have also occasionally participated on Musical Practice & Performance.

@revious If it was revealed, then users could attempt to circumvent the ban by staying just above ban-level.

@Bart understood
also another question
Is there any resource on machine learning here?
any section of the website I mean?
or this kind of question are OT?

@jadarnel27: yes, that is where I saw it.

machine learning and data mining

8:33 PM
@Revious there's some machine learning stuff asked/answered over on stats.stackexchange.com
it's not inherently off-topic on SO, but it depends on the question

@Laszlo Why do you ask? I remember reading in your profile that you play music.

8:52 PM
@hichris123 yes, starting in 9 minutes...

9:07 PM
Are there actual timing statistics of queries currently running?

@rene what do you mean?

For me the loading of review task from the close vote queue is slower today so I was wonderimg if there is a root cause for that.
Or is it because wednesday is slower?

The server must be tired.
It's a rainy day here in NYC.

It's a gloomy day here (that system ran through here a few hours ago).

Ah, see that explains
Another problem solved!
@AnnaLear I had this question/bug opened a month ago which I declared solved myself. The real answer is: It stopped raining in NYC after 7 days?

9:28 PM
@Undo ^
So... VLQ flags just push them to the moderator/10k flag queue, and they don't get put in the low quality posts queue, right?

That is none of your business!

It is if I'm flagging them. :P

/me slowly backs away from @jadarnel27

I just wrote a question, then saw a duplicate on the right side after posting. Should I a) just delete my question, or b) not delete but just "close as duplicate" myself, what do you think?
I did spend some effort searching before posting without luck, and the one I noticed after posting has just 1 other duplicate, so it's not a common question.

I'd say just vote to close it as a dupe. Leaving it around helps others find the origional.

9:41 PM
I agree with @hichris123.
@Bart Probably a safe move. I'm back at my laptop, so my powers are complete.
I could type @SPArchaeologist all day now.

@jadarnel27 Here's a neat trick: @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 @jadarnel27 Annoying, right? :P
So... you can annoy @SPArchaeologist all day with that.

Apparently you can only get pinged once per message, so that was not as annoying for me as you might think.

Yeah... though the amount of green is amazing.

"I see seas of green ..."

I don't think we want to hear you sing...

9:58 PM
It's either that, or watching me dance.

I don't think we want to hear you sing...
That's all...

> And why are you people deleting my comment. Behave :/
Okay then... :P

Hmmm, there was an message on the flag dialog that my last flag got declined
I reviewed it but found no evidence to support it

Eek, the inline editor isn't appearing! And the non-inline one isn't rendering the tags properly.

Use IE11 and all your problems are history

Can I please just flag this as offensive/abusive? Or does it have to be NAA? :(

Vanilla NatashaI have similar issue actually arising in my managed Chromebook for any one of my Google accounts when I am on a browser that has been forced updates at some point and/or after updated and when my pc is forced to restart no matter the measures taken to not allow the PC or Chromebook or cell phone ...

Okay, can't view vote counts either...

@michaelb958 Check the dev console.

@michaelb958 Put on hold by Bill Gates

Betcha some JS isn't loading @michaelb958.

Thanks IE, really helpful.

@michaelb958 that is in jquery isn't it?

A: WebSocket on IE10 giving a SecurityError

Georgiy IvankinIt looks like IE throws a SecurityError if you're trying to open a websocket on a local (intranet) domain. To overcome this, you may disable IE's automatic algorithm for recognizing local sites. This can be done in Tools > Internet Options > Security > Local Intranet > Sites. Uncheck all check...

10:25 PM
@hichris123 Still broken on Super User, and intermittently on Meta.

Fun fact: I always thought MathOverflow's styling looked a bit ...well, basic. After starting on the SE blog archives I realised it was actually the really really old Stack Overflow styling.

11:24 PM
And here we have another prime example of robo-reviewing. (Or, alternately, why link changes should facepunch reviewers.)
