How about stackoverflow.com/review/triage/6380656? ... how about the sea of "Unsalvageable" in your review history (with only a sprinkling of "needs improvement")?

when he reviewed it, it was

@Doorknob冰 halp question. 4 things for us to do, no specific q

@Braiam The first revision looks fine.

No...

10:03 PM
@bjb568 ... wait, so if I'm understand you correctly, if you want help, don't ask a question. Got it.
Also, that's not 4 things for you to do. That's the 4 things he's trying to do, and he's already shown his attempt.

@Doorknob冰 that's what SO has trained me to do

@Doorknob冰 Then what do we do? Unclear
@Doorknob冰 No, research and debug so you can figure it out, else have info for a good q

@Doorknob冰 what the heck is the last revision?

user259867
@hichris123 Not for me. Chrome 39.

@bjb568 ... well, I'm assuming he doesn't want you to break his code, correct? So the only logical conclusion is that he wants you to fix it...
@Braiam No idea O_o

10:05 PM
Y U NO WERK isn't a question

Maybe it only happens if you're the person who reviewed it?

@bjb568 He has a small set of code, he has an error, and he wants the error gone.

@hichris123 "This video requires Flash 9 or newer. Click here to get it!" >:(

And he has a bunch of backstory

Badly written.

user259867
10:07 PM
@hichris123 I guess it's a gentle nudge "if it's good, upvote it"?

@Doorknob冰 Bad quality:

@hichris123 xkcd.com/1316 <noonebox>

@bjb568 Then it's not unsalvageable.
Anyway, I'm dropping this. I've got better things to do

Meh, I give up. I have piano practice to do

Same

user259867
10:08 PM
Yes, the two top lines are just for you as the reviewer. I see "Review completed 12 mins ago" So I suppose the animation goes with "please remember to upvote".

Yay, better gif.

Feature Request: Instead of 3 discrete options ("looks ok", "needs improvement", "unsalvagable") how about an analog slider? :D:D:D — Mysticial 20 mins ago

user259867
^ great idea

user259867
10:12 PM
Or a knob.

Sure you don't want a digital slider?
That's a lot of sliders they'll have to ship out

A: Help us test question triage!

hichris123Whenever I have reviewed, and the consensus is "Looks Ok", I get a weird bouncing animation on the voting dialog (sorry for the bad quality): This is quite annoying (it's like <marquee> and <blink>!). Can it be removed?

user259867
@hichris123 Did you notice anything funny with Inspector?

nope.

user259867
Not as annoying as that animated gif. I spent like 10 minutes tweaking the bounce rate there; you couldn't even bother to keep it in frame for the whole animation? — Shog9 ♦ 18 secs ago

user259867
10:19 PM
So... by design.

user259867
I think Stack Clippy is next.

@Shog9 Trust me, it was a hard capture process. I had to use some Microsoft software thingy, then transcode it to a WMV. I then uploaded it to some website which converts WMV's to a gif. It probably lost a good amount of quality along the way. — hichris123 22 secs ago

bariatric surgery spam just got mod deleted

@WarmFuzzies Clippycorn was like two years ago. Although we did consider that as an alternative here.

10:25 PM
@hichris123 os x has an app that makes a gif of an area of screen, locally :)

@Undo SR has a good recommendation! :D

A: Section screen recorder to GIF

aman207For a Mac (and Windows) solution, you can try LICEcap LICEcap can capture an area of your desktop and save it directly to .GIF (for viewing in web browsers, etc). Features: Move the screen capture frame while recording. Pause and restart recording, with optional inserted text messages. Gl...

yup, that's what I use
Just because I read like everything that comes in, I'm starting to be able to do, "Oh, I saw a thing that does that... on SR... search search search Yay!"

ffmeg instructions on SU, I suspect

user259867
@nicael Why, if it's the author taking back their words?

user259867
10:33 PM
Maybe the answer now becomes an NAA. But I would not rollback.

@Warm this makes the answer empty... not an answer
It was better

user259867
Yes, but if the OP no longer stands behind their answer, rolling back would be putting words in their mouth.

user259867
Creates a tag with no description and no obvious purpose + nobody uses it in the next few days => remove the tag.

@bjb568 Did you get approved?

user259867
10:52 PM
Next, make the downvote arrow flash in red when a user votes to close other than a dupe or "another site".

user259867
SE needs moar animations.

user259867

> talk with implies conversation, discussion, and discursiveness
@WarmFuzzies do not converse, discuss or be discursive with Black Hat

user259867
"don't talk to him" is far more common than "don't talk with him". See: Google search.

user259867
11:03 PM
Also, the comic itself uses "talk to" form.

@WarmFuzzies yes
@hichris123 What?

@bjb568 The hackathon?

Cueball is just asserting, exclaiming, I'm being imperative "don't talk with him"

user259867
Okay. Prepositions aside, who is the black hat here?

11:17 PM
@Mooseman Meta effect'ing it wouldn't be a bad idea, either...

user259867
Nobody yet commented on how the triage screenshot shows a post in Russian... (I assume this is not from the not-yet-launched ru.SO)

@hichris123 Oh, I didn't have time to make anything for it.

user259867
What I hate the most these days: users recognizing that the question is crap, and giving a crap answer intentionally.

user259867

11:37 PM
> miscounted frames, got the length of the animation wrong. Either there are a LOT of dropped frames here, or hichris has a really slow PC.
didn't you get a new system @hichris123?

@Braiam Well, I'm looking at the boxes right now. :P
It's not a super slow PC, it's a gaming laptop from a few years back.

oi! -6 and still alive?!

It's gone.

lol

Q: Could "1d ago" be replaced with "yesterday"?

nicaelIn the new "Profile" tab, "1d ago" is used instead of "yesterday". Could it plz be replaced with "yesterday"? As for my eyes, it is more pleasant to see "yesterday".

Mmm?

@nicael Why isn't that in the post for feedback on the profile page?

user259867
@nicael -1 /me likes numbers

> BROWN
> We often think of brown as its own color, but according to Jude Stewart’s Roy G. Biv, it’s “actually a low-intensity shade of orange.”
