:wrote significant production code for the first time in a week:

has not written production code since being named "architect" for his team. Who could have seen that coming?

9:17 PM
:wishes it was warm, and he was on the beach of a nice calm lake, with a beach chair and his laptop:

"Nobody in their right mind would ever do that" should be a vote-to-close reason on #StackExchange

Nah. It should just be a common comment or answer.

@RebeccaChernoff Hmmm it seems like they may have fixed the bug.
Which is good since it prevents me from having to figure out how to report it. :P

could you be a bit more specific?

...No.
Sorry, the JavaScript bug that was impacting livequery.

9:23 PM
"the bug"! How much more information do you need?

It seems to be fixed in the latest dev release on account of them updating V8 yet again.
Yeah, that was terribly unclear, my bad :P

I think it might have been fixed as part of an unrelated (?) bug, but I'm too unfamiliar with the code to know for sure.

9:59 PM
You'd know better than me. (:

10:13 PM
Ugh, I really need to stop playing Portal.

Nah, beat it first, it's a short game.

It is, and I did. I was playing the other maps. But for whatever reason, Valve games seem to make me nauseous.

Are you sitting quite close to your monitor?

Portal more so on account of it being so disorienting...

Q: How can I prevent Gaming Sickness?

rlb.usaSome gamers call me a wimp, but games like Spyro send me reeling and running for the bathroom in a matter of minutes. I get a massive headache, nausea, and sick to my stomach. I can play Portal, Ape Escape, Ico, Shadow of the Collosseus for longer. I think the problem has to do with the free-floa...

10:16 PM
@ChrisF Hmm, that could be it.
Most of my gaming is done on console these days, and I sit much farther from my TV than I do my computer screen.

If the screen fills your field of view then your brain is getting conflicting signals from your eyes and ears - so you feel nauseous.

10:31 PM
LOL
@Ivo shared on Reader a link to a story on Gizmodo.
I clicked on the link
Gizmodo notices I'm in Italy
"oh yeah we have an Italian version of the site! off you go!"
...and breaks the link.

Which Ivo?

Flipse

@RebeccaChernoff There's more than one?

@ChrisF There's Ivo Wetzel, active in the JS room, for one.

'zactly (:

10:34 PM
@badp Gosh, he's got a silver [javascript] tag-badge now

He's had it for some time too.

I'm 94% of the way there, hrmp...

VOTING RING IS A GO

activates downvote spree

10:57 PM
@badp Let's upvote him in some weird tag like ice-cream
or fortran

ice-cream is radder.

But a MUMPS gold badge would be nice as well

Upvoted all of @YiJiang's posts in the tag.
You owe me @YiJiang!

@badp I errr... what?

@radp that's sooooo corrupt
I like it
I'm going to do the same thing

11:32 PM
@Zypher are you here now?

11:49 PM
> Can you hear me now?

> Yes. Why are we talking in blockquotes?

It was a quote.
