@GeorgeMarian If I try to view anyone's related accounts the page hangs and then I can't view any SO site for about 5 minutes. It only happens on this machine (XP SP3), not all the time, but more often than not.

@Zypher OK - if I try to view anyone's related accounts on their profile page the page rendering hangs after the profile info but before the flairs are drawn.
After that any request for a page on any SE site (but not chat) is "rejected". For example in Chrome I just get the "loading" spinner in the tab and occasionally a chrome generated server not responding message.
