it's crazy to me how much Jon Skeet can make in a day, with all the accepted answers over the cap.. 365 rep, so like 9-10 accepted answers after capping.
@rchern So, the next feature we need to add to the userscript is the ability to time travel, so that we can use it to go back in time and recreate the scenario that messed up your message the first time. ;)
anybody ever see asp.net post an empty form if you hit enter with a DefaultButton specificed? if i actually press the enter button the click event fires and processes the data, but not if i hit enter.
Just like the actual Q&A sites (maybe even more so), chat needs a way to govern itself, i.e. put much of the moderating duties in the hand of the community, and not only a tiny group of moderators. That's why chat, just like the main sites, has a flagging system that enables (almost) anybody ...
@balpha, well, I'm a way off 10k for the moment, but I wondered if there was a risk of having no-one around to handle flagged posts at certain times of day..., but 13/40 seems pretty good to me
@YiJiang Thanks. Yes, it does need to decode HTML entities, and also needs a lot of other things, like it keeps sending messages when you leave the room, it's read-only, only that rom works, etc etc

I don't either; I still want to do something where all you need to do is use the last digit of a post ID to refer to it (if it's in the last ten posts)

@rchern If they install a death ray, maybe they'll let you borrow it so you can go "show" it to the people who programmed the site you were fighting with earlier. ;)
Read only, only one room works, entities aren't decoded, and it keeps sending messages to you even after you leave the room. But it's a start.
@rchern I'm open to other language suggestions! Ruby is just the only language I know which is a. suited to multi-threaded, long running applications, and b. has an XMPP component extension

I know that if you have enough rep you can pretend to edit and see the source, and
I know that you can do some silly hack-job taking the postid and putting it manuall...
