Q: Hidden message embedded in image

gparyaniThere is a hidden message embedded within the below image just below the graphic of Shadow the Hedgehog that cannot be viewed using a normal image viewer. Can you find it? Hint 1: Hint 2: I'm looking for an answer that also clearly explains the trick I used to obscure the text and wh...

I couldn't find the exact avatar (yet), but I did find this bio which referenced it.

@AndreascondemnsIsrael For crawls before April 2014, you have to change meta.stackexchange.com to meta.stackoverflow.com.

Almost 400 signatures signed by established editors and multiple admins. Perhaps it's time for WMF to make a statement on the situation. Ratnahastin (talk) 02:48, 9 November 2024 (UTC) Somebody tag WMFOffice please Djano Chained (talk) 14:10, 9 November 2024 (UTC) 400+ now. At the present rate of growth, I estimate we'll have 500+ signatures in a little more than ten hours, but it'll probably slow a bit, so make it twelve or so. In the last ten hours, we've had an average of 5 new sigs/hr. In the first ten hours after the signature opened, that was closer to 18. Cremastra (u — c) 15:12, 9 November...

Many years ago there used to be a 48-hour delay on authors deleting their questions if they got closed.
Nov 25 09:43
@ShadowWizard I wasn't advocating for that. There's a longstanding feature request to impose a 24-hour delay on self-deleting questions if they get answered, to allow for time for one or more upvote(s) or other answer(s) to be provided. Also note that high-rep users aren't subject to the imposed-on-authors limits when voting to delete others' posts.
Nov 24 15:53
The most common case I see this is people deleting their questions immediately after they get answered. Given that the system blocks authors from deleting their questions if they get multiple answers or if they have a single answer with at least one upvote, users tend to think that deleting their own question that gets a single answer before it has a chance to be upvoted is allowed.
Nov 24 15:50
@VLAZ Well, some people conclude that "if the system allows me to do something, it's probably not against the rules" or "if it's really against the rules, they'd have put in measures to stop it but they didn't" and so do it not knowing it's against the rules.
Nov 16 21:25
@Tinkeringbell Okay, thanks! Looks like that's broken as well.
Nov 16 21:23
@Tinkeringbell I'm going to post an answer to that question and then if you could please convert it to a comment.
Nov 16 11:22
I'd like to see if this is actually true.

Q: Answer that was deleted by a moderator was undeleted by normal users; why was it allowed and can it be fixed?

Sonic the Anonymous HedgehogSince 2011, normal users have been prevented from voting to undelete posts that were deleted by moderators. However, today, this answer was undeleted by votes from normal users after having been deleted by a moderator. It appears that a bug was introduced when the logic for checking if a post was...

Nov 10 09:26
It seemed strange that there was an undelete vote on a mod-deleted answer, so I tried voting myself and the system allowed it.
Nov 10 09:23
Hey, I wanted to test out a bug: can a non-mod vote to undelete this answer? Afterwards, @rene can you re-delete it? It seems like this system change is allowing normal users to vote to undelete answers. I'd like to see if the answer actually gets undeleted.

One of our biggest store chains realized they couldn't raise prices beyond a certain point or it would reduce their demand, so they ran a campaign of how they were reducing prices when they were simply partly undoing their earlier changes.

Also, how's the weather there? The forecast says it'll rain a lot when they get there - does that seem true for you right now?

@JourneymanGeek Any other place you'd recommend for sightseeing? I think Sentosa is a bit too far out of the way since they're only in Singapore for 6-8 hours in the literal (hopefully not figurative) sense.
Nov 5 09:35
@JourneymanGeek My parents are the ones going - they say they want to go gold shopping mostly. They have two transit stops, one on the onward and one on the return
Nov 5 02:04
@JourneymanGeek What do you recommend someone with a day transit stop in Singapore do?
Nov 3 09:29
@ShadowWizard It's a non-useful duplicate - it doesn't contain additional search terms that would help find the target. There's a reason why the system allows high-rep users to vote to delete answered questions - because they're evaluating the usefulness of the question. The answer author can repost their answer on the target if it gets deleted, or request that the posts be merged.
Nov 3 09:26
@Tinkeringbell A little curious why you cleared the pending delete vote on meta.stackexchange.com/posts/403921/revisions

@ShadowWizard When a user's post is manually reported, they are automatically blacklisted, and future manual reports of posts from the same user will thus show as "Blacklisted user".
Oct 19 17:23
@ShadowWizard Command not necessary - users are automatically blacklisted on manual reports
