@Rob Thanks, one interesting note in that chart is the drop in mid October corresponds to the fires in Northern California in which I had to evacuate from my house for a week, and it was hard to get online.

@JourneymanGeek, After my experience yesterday, and the subsequent reading of the what goes on here. I find your patience aspirational. Many of us are somewhat aspy. Some more than others. But here you sit, with considerably more patience than I managed to gather in my short encounter, dealing with the facts on the ground. I aspire to be more like you. But to what end? Is your goal to make sure that no one else ever contributes, because their contribution was not perfect? Really? Well, more power to you...

@Catija, it just seems that phrases like Shut the f__ up and s_k my a__ in posts ought to get some special treatment when those posts are flagged.

Those words have absolutely no use it polite discourse.

Too my mind, a bunch of pretty nasty words ought to give some sort of priority to taking it down...

So we have the comment thing covered, but posts themselves seem to be able to stick around quite a while...

@JourneymanGeek Thanks, I remember it now. I am 0 for 2 on that flag on MSE. While I am 72 out of 75 on the 6 sites where I have more rep than MSE. I guess there is a higher bar here. Oddly enough 1/2 of my ROA flags are from SuperUser.

So I flagged a post as rude or abusive yesterday and it was rejected. I don't remember the flag, and as the post has been deleted I cannot look at it to see how I missed the mark.
