that's wierdly cool and thoughtful
Journeyman Geek
05:58
...
Journeyman Geek
03:17
(and make fun of them of course. )
Journeyman Geek
03:16
@Starship Cause they're manifestly unethical, and there's nothing wrong with them losing all their business and going bankrupt
Journeyman Geek
03:15
But I didn't advocate murder. I advocated science.
Journeyman Geek
03:15
And people who think this stuff is fine prisoned
Journeyman Geek
03:14
Oh, I'd want the company to die.
Journeyman Geek
03:14
I literally said murder wasn't fine
Journeyman Geek
03:13
Not saying murder's fine, but that "innocent" is hardly a load bearing description
Journeyman Geek
03:13
@Starship oh, that insurance company was infamous for replacing employees with AI, and denying obviously valid claims
Journeyman Geek
03:12
Also Death penalties are usually used for single murders.
Journeyman Geek
03:12
@Starship Hypothetically, that guy probably legally let a
lot
of people die for profits.
Journeyman Geek
03:07
@AndreascondemnsIsrael I disagree with it in many contexts. I
definately
disagree with the idea of it being mandatory in almost all contexts
Journeyman Geek
03:05
@Spevacus I mean, it shows how little hope people have in fixing the system
Journeyman Geek
02:13
Would have saved a lot of people, and he could have trailblazed the way for communism. IN SPACE!
Journeyman Geek
02:08
@Starship They could have sent Stalin.
Journeyman Geek
02:07
@Starship apparently there was a way to euthanise the dog, but they wanted data, and let the poor thing die alone in the cold of space
Journeyman Geek
02:04
Besides, I sort of addressed the attention span thing
Journeyman Geek
02:04
@SmokeDetector too slow
Journeyman Geek
02:04
@AndreascondemnsIsrael I like writing meta posts \o/
Journeyman Geek
02:03
@cocomac Neither am I, but in context I think its grimly funny
Journeyman Geek
02:02
@AndreascondemnsIsrael We'll need to see. I've a few suspicions, but I don't trust the company to have the attention span to follow up
Journeyman Geek
02:01
@AndreascondemnsIsrael I cannot begin to explain how messed up that is
Journeyman Geek
02:00
@Starship there's a really bad, topical joke behind that I'd better not explain
Journeyman Geek
01:38
and "the practical study of the after effects of thermonuclear war" is not good science if there's no one left to publish or peer review it
Journeyman Geek
01:37
Make science, not war
Journeyman Geek
01:35
(I don't actually endorse that, there's too much junk in space as is)
Journeyman Geek
01:34
Like politicians, and insurance company CEOs
Journeyman Geek
01:34
We should send less lamented things to their potential deaths in the cold of space.
Journeyman Geek
01:34
It can be remembered
Journeyman Geek
01:33
And this makes it ok how?
Journeyman Geek
01:32
Laika sure didn't
Journeyman Geek
01:32
And he
chose
Journeyman Geek
01:32
(covered up his dead? Sure. But he
would
have come home if he hadn't died)
Journeyman Geek
01:31
Would they have left Gagarin in space?
Journeyman Geek
01:31
That's what they want you to think
Journeyman Geek
01:30
@AndreascondemnsIsrael eh, or brought Laika home
Journeyman Geek
01:26
@AndreascondemnsIsrael Mankind reached space not on the shoulders of giants, but in the footsteps of a dog that never came home >_>
Journeyman Geek
01:19
Also, the video is trippy as heck
Journeyman Geek
01:19
Its all fun and games till you're floating around
a tin can far above the world
Journeyman Geek
01:15
@AndreascondemnsIsrael In this country, we obey the laws of gravity

Fatboy Slim ft. Bootsy Collins - Weapon Of Choice [Official 4k Video]
►
Journeyman Geek
00:59
One might even call it my weapon of choice
Journeyman Geek
00:58
This is literally what I dig up to do soldering
Journeyman Geek
00:58
But if you want a
recommendation
Journeyman Geek
00:57
I wonder if charcoal got a little heavily loaded by the spam waves
Journeyman Geek
00:56
free shipping over 15 for me, and the full kit is 22
Journeyman Geek
00:56
ah so
Journeyman Geek
00:46
If you're desoldering something, touch of flux, heat up the solder, apply braid which sucks it up, snip the braid, and repeat. I did an entire keyboard like that :D
Journeyman Geek
00:45
@AndreascondemnsIsrael and everything you need to get started
