I don't believe there's a blanket policy (for one, it'd be difficult to detect) and so it's generally handled more case-by-case.

They did rewrite all Stack Exchange HTTP links to be HTTPS

Not necessarily DBAs specifically, but yes, only Stack Exchange employees can do it (and, I think, not all SE employees)

That's unfortunate. It would be nice if one could edit posts without bumping them in a way similar to 4chan's sage. I often wish to make trivial improvements (grammar and style) but don't want to bump my own posts all the time.

There are some feature-requests for that, but the short answer is that it's very difficult to do that without opening an avenue for abuse (e.g., editing spam into posts)

@DavidPostill steam coming out of the ground due to extreme heat, and nobody knows why.

So the authorities dig around trying to figure what's going on, and of course thermal scans, but so far nothing was found.

My assumption is that it's something with the underground rail system:

Was there already a bug report on Meta Stack Exchange that hats might prevent users from being able to click on profile/activity? (I have noticed this for the Quarantine Hair hat.)

Yeah, there is one.

Q: Hats can block page controls

Depending on how a user places his hat it may become hard to impossible to click e.g. the "Activity" button on a users profile-page - like e.g. here: When trying to click the visible part of "Activity" I always end up on that users hat-list.
