Garry Hoy (January 1, 1955 – July 9, 1993) was a lawyer for the law firm of Holden Day Wilson in Toronto. He died in an act of accidental autodefenestration.
== Death ==
In an attempt to prove to a group of prospective articling students that the glass in the Toronto-Dominion Centre was unbreakable, Hoy threw himself through a glass wall on the 24th story and fell to his death after the window frame gave way. He had apparently performed this stunt many times in the past, having previously bounced harmlessly off the glass. The event occurred in a small conference room adjacent to a boardroom where...
@JamesENL oh great this got me to think of the coffee exit point.... :(
@JamesENL you replied to wrong message, last word was this - I can manually fix that, but better reply to the last word so the chain is preserved and I can collect stats. Sometime. ;)
@JamesENL lol, no... bot can't possibly have all the words, so there are some that simply don't have any associated words. :)
In those cases we can manually add words by >>link or >>continue, or wait for human player to reply.
@ShadowWizard lemme throw some logic out in app, then I'll tell another story of friend's marriage. Hint (we drank four days straight (of-course there were periods of rest))
In India, there are some places, where parents will beat kids, if they get to know about their affair with opposite sex, let alone same sex. But, only "some places"
@JamesENL what about your partner? Are his parents as comfortable as yours? (Sorry if I am intruding personal space here)
@DroidDev You'd have to go a lot more personal to make me uncomfortable. His parents are pretty good. I've not actually met them yet, so I can't really tell you how comfortable they are really. They seem ok about him having a boyfriend though
I'd been hooking up with guys for 2 years by that point. I regret starting that young actually. But I told them after I actually fell in love with another guy rather than just physical sex
@JamesENL I see. Well what's done is done, just hope you don't have bad memories from that period. My own memories from high school are really lame. lol
We don't have marriage equality yet because our Prime Minister is a spineless people pleaser who has his balls currently owned by the religious right-wing faction within his party.
Who all think that LGBTIQ+ people are a sub-human underclass
Which isn't even the worst thing that potential politicians think about LGBTIQ+ people in Australia. A woman who is standing for election of a district less than 5 minutes drive from my place thinks that the whole push for same-sex marriage is a plot by gay people using Nazi mind control techniques
@ShadowWizard Trans is an umbrella term for individuals who's sex assigned at birth isn't the same as their gender (Gender refers to the socially constructed roles, behaviours, activities, and attributes that a given society considers appropriate for men and women). This covers things like transgender people (person born a girl who identifies as a boy), genderfluid (a person who's gender identity changes over time), or even agendered (a person who's identity is neither male nor female)
Basically gender lies on a spectrum (like sexuality) and some people don't fit into the gender that they were assigned at birth or their gender moves along that spectrum
